Just built a splitter, used it for about 5 cords with no issues. Recently the cylinder will not retract. Push power is normal just no retraction. New cylinder, valve, filter has about 10 hours run time. Fluid level good and is clear. Any help or ideas appreciated. Thanks

Here’s my homebuilt interpretation. Works great bagging off the back of the truck.

Mount two powersplit type vertical splitters instead of horizontal and you’d have a super efficient machine to make smaller wood.

Bought the smaller one from Garret Wade a year ago. A lot better to use than any others I’ve had. One swing, sticks in endgrain, bark, sideways. Far superior point geometry.

I’ve used one. They don’t work great with knotty wood, make a ton of trash. Knotty stuff and box wedges not a great combo.
