Weaver Cougar Saddle - Rope Bridge, No Ring?

I've been using that saddle for abut 3 years and like it. I put a small DMM Axxis swivel on my bridge, so much nicer. If you didn't get it the batten seat is a real comfortable addition.

    Oak health question

I was pruning an Oak the other day and on the upper leaders I was finding a bunch of holes I'm thinking from the woodpeckers and at the holes the leaders have developed a black collar about six inches long around them that's real rough. Is this just the tree trying to protect and repair itself...

Pine trimming - can't use spikes, sub par T.I.P.

I've been trying to figure out the same thing. I'm 250 without gear and get asked to limb conifers pretty regularly that have no branches big enough to safely go over for SRT.

    ms201tc

I bought a 355 last September and just finally got my money back on it. What a pile right from the get go. I bet I've had it in my possession for a month maybe two of that time the rest it was in the shop. As soon as my card was credited a 540 got ordered. No Echos ever again for me.

climbing line as a second tie-in during removals

Jonaration I run the same setup you're describing when working a stem and like it.. Secondary tie in and I can get down quickly. Going up through around and over limbs I swap my Uni for a split tail micro pulley and blakes hitch using it as a second flip line. Generally though i run the same...

Jonsered 670 No start and pouring fuel out

I'll try and catch up here. Yes I cleaned the original carb and yes the diaphragms were stiff. It was replaced with a new carb same over fueling with fuel running out the muffler. Started with a new plug, but I'm going to grab another new one on the way to work in the morning. Yes this is a...

Jonsered 670 No start and pouring fuel out

I've been troubleshooting one of our Jonsered 670's that went from running fine one day to not at all the next. Went through the basics, has spark, good comp and was over fueling. I tried cleaning the carb that was on it with no luck still getting fuel on the intake side of the carb and...

    picking a dump truck

There's still good deals to be found on the 99.5-early 03 7.3 powerstroke's you just have to be patient and search. I haven't seen or heard to much bad about the 6.4 Powerstroke they're just a bear to work on the engine. And as always the early 2000's Duramax's pulled like a train just had hit...

    picking a dump truck

Stay far away from the 6.0 Powerstroke. Don't fall for the good looking price tags.

Anyone have any luck with Aftermarket engine block heaters?

You can get a block heater that replaces a freeze plug just like factory installed in pickups. I think there's a decent selection you just need your freeze plug size.

    Mechanical hitch dilemma...

Why doesn't the uni work for limb walking? I'm 250 without a saw and gear and am looking very seriously at the uni for all around work. I'm tired of friction knots binding with my lard a$$ so figured this was a great alternative, I mostly work ddrt.

    Automated External Defibrillator

^^This is the priority right here. I had another code today at work. We were able to shock once but it was the cpr that got the pulse back to shock. I know we've gone off into left field from the OP but hopefully we're saving him some money.

    Automated External Defibrillator

I'll second the Chiefs response, in 10 years in the fire service I've only shocked twice maybe 3 times. Quality non stop compressions are the key. As for storage if you were to get one, ours have a nylon coated plastic-ish case on them and they all ride in an external compartment that's clean.

New Top Handle Chainsaw - Echo CS303T info?

I bought a 355T new as a first climbing saw and when it's out of the shop its a runner. All of the issues I've had with it I think can be attributed to the people doing the warranty work on it and not doing it correctly. Just a word of advice don't treat the 355 like it's as tough as your...
