I have a 461 r and don't have any issue with the chain becoming overly lose or anything.I would think about taking it to your dealer to have it checked out,its a new saw so it should be covered by the warrenty.

Not that I know of....the stihl woodsman case that most dealers carry won't work with that saw.

We have 3 of these blowers,all of them had the bog issue when they were new.The 2 oldest blowers(about 4 years old or so)seem to have lost the bogging issue after being run a couple years,I don't notice any bog on these 2 anymore.I was just using the newest one this week to clean up some leaves...

Hi....I live in central Pa and have a 461 r.my dealer didnt have one in stock,but had no issue getting me one ordered in and I had it in a few days.There are more differences then just the 3/4 wrap handle that comes on the r model,it also has the high outout oiler,large clutch cover,duel dogs...

My dad has a 290 and even though its not a favorite of these internet boards, I think its a good firewood saw.

.15 of an ounce extra should get you to 40 to 1,its not much.

I have a regular 362 that I been using for 4 years now as my primary firewood saw and I really like it ,no problems with it at all.I do think that price is high,I paid right around 600.00 for mine brand new.
