The pin idea sounds great. I've used those clip on limiters on farm cylinders and messed up a few because of them. I will look at it good this weekend and try to get pictures of what I do. Thank you
I recently purchased a gently used Huskee 22ton splitter. My question is has anyone shortened the stroke with anything. I always cut 16-18" and would love to shorten the stroke somehow. Thank you Marc
Hello, We have an abundance of cherry, red oak, white oak, ash, sugar maple and silver maple. Which would be the best to mill for posts to make a lean to onto a garage?? I appreciate any insight. Thank you, Marc
I bought a 1 1/2 ton from local gaurd base.. I added a scissor to it and now it's a dump trailer. Like everyone said you sure can't over load one with wood and still be able to pull it... It is amazing how cheap you can get one these days... Marc
The hydraulic pump is off a wheelchair lift out of an Ambulette van, power up and gravity down. I had a winch for 3 years and it drove me nuts.. I am kinda spoiled since at work the blades are 12 and 13 feet. The plow mounts up front like a truck plow, then the subframe unbolts with 2 bolts...
I have used this wonderfully for 13 years and it surprises alot. Have only got it stuck once and it took an 80hp tractor to get it out.... oh by the way, all homemade plow with hyrdaulic lift. Happy New Year, Marc
The springs in a 260 might be me.. I put some springs from a Husky 350 into an 026. I basically replaced the rubber av mounts on the bottom with the the 350 springs. I then replaced the upper av mount with a custom spring from a local manufacturer and fabbed up a mount for it. I have been...
Season??? What does that mean..??? KIdding. Here in NE Ohio it has been real good to those that need to season. I'll be burning dead ash for a long time, damn EAB.... Marc
Hello, since I have been laid off I have been doing some crazy things to stay busy.. Anyway, I am in the process of swapping out the rubber av for Springs. I have a few of these cases around now that is why I am doing it to an 026.. Question is does anyone use an 026 as their main saw?? If...
Hello... I honestly know no difference between the two.. I know that I will probably never get it going. I would rather have a bandmill.. Thank you, Marc
Oh... Don't need to dig to find an oil well, Just need to look out the back door.. I am in the process of cleaning this garage out that was leftover from my in-laws, 4 generations of stuff we made need someday. I have found some neat stuff, but mostly junk. I was told their was a sawmill...
I will try and get pics. It is all in pieces, kinda why I never seen it. I have never really got into this garage since we have been here.. But with my time off I thought I would dive into it and clean it out. Be a good place to put firewood...and boards. Marc
Mr. Snelling, couldn't agree more. Bible rules are life here, the Catholic one. Thank you again guys, now my scout saw is back in business with the help from here... Marc
