    Wood stove insert ???s

A few years ago, I FINALLY decided to have our useless-yet-pretty standard glass door fireplace replaced with a Quadrafire 2700i insert. Our home is a single story ranch type house with baseboard electric heat. Before the insert, the heating bills had gotten up to almost $500/month. As...

    Labonville Black Friday Sale!

I ended up getting a set of Labonville chaps through Bailey's. They had them for about $81 (vs $99 from Labonville + $17 or so shipping), and I had a July email for free shipping on my next order. These will replace the Husqvarna chaps that I've been using the past couple years.

    Help me get unscrewed...

So the seller, who may have made a honest mistake, is out not only the money for the sale, but also his saw?

    Walbro WT526 Trouble

Are the sparks from droplets of burning fuel, or burning chunks of carbon, or...?? Just wondering.

562xp warm start trouble, air purge stops working for a while

By doing the pressure/vacuum test before the saw was taken apart, that would have ruled out a leak as the cause of your piston/cylinder scoring. If they do the test after the saw is rebuilt, it should make sure that there's no leaks in your newly rebuilt saw. There HAD to be some reason why...

562xp warm start trouble, air purge stops working for a while

@Solrael - If your local shop is lazy, they may very well overlook an air leak that could kill your saw's new top end. You might insist that they do a pressure/vacuum test on the saw BEFORE tearing it down.

    Chainsaw pressure test tools

Husqvarna has a tool for pressure testing through the spark plug hole. P/N 503 84 40-02. Available for about $16 online from multiple sources. I use one and like it.

Echo Dealer Says My Trimmer and Blower Need New Carburetors

So they basically stole your carb? No need for you to go back there, just demand that they send it to you in the mail. Threats of small claims court if they don't return your carb might also put a fire up their rear end. Idiots.

Questions on the Mighty Husqvarna 136LE

It's my smallest/lightest saw (tying the MS250 for weight), and it was handy when cutting through the overgrown honeysuckle.

    fuel mix

Hmmmmthanks for the suggestion. I might run a couple gallons of 0:1 ratio through all my saws and see how that works for the decals. Gotta keep them pretty, don'cha know.

    fuel mix

I find that my Husqvarna decals stay in place better with oil ratios of between 40:1 and 50:1. That's the main thing I look for in a used saw - decals. If the decal is in place, you're pretty well guaranteed that the piston/cylinder is nice & shiny.;)

Questions on the Mighty Husqvarna 136LE

Of course, I "cheated." Rather than spending $4-$6-$10 for a scuzzy little 1/2" long piece of silicone rubber tubing, I'm trying a different approach. I bought feet of the stuff on eBay, and cut a section to try in the saw. NOTE: the Husky part number for the impulse seal adapter used in the...

Questions on the Mighty Husqvarna 136LE

Yup. I had already replaced it, as I do with Husky 51's.
