Smoked meat?

Yeah, some hardware stores have the older self venting or even older flex style spouts. Or you can remove the spoutvalve part and fit a barb into the plastic after sawing off the entire valve assembly.

Hinge failure. Need some help with getting better survey techniques.

I'm thinking that not any of my cordless drills would be able to drive a ship auger so I might have to refer back to say a 1/2 inch bit and a brace to bore a test hole.

    Smoked meat?

OT but I feel your pain! good golley the super safe plastic cans suck, honestly, the metal ones are looking better every day.

    Are stump grinders money makers?

The mice are screwed. Enough down pressure to lift the tail of a massive machine off the ground, that's quite a bit of force and torque.

How to get big rounds on truck?

Yeah, hand ramp loaded some 3' oak rounds, pretty much the entire tree on the truck and trailer, my guess would be maybe 6000 pounds total, my back is suggesting perhaps smaller bits or more help would have been advisable! :) I love motrin.

Does the large amount of powder coming off the bar make anyone else want to cry?

How to get big rounds on truck?

I'm wondering if the horsepower required is the same though, time in woods is greatly reduced loading the big rounds, if splitting time is the same, you are swapping the time and effort of unloading one big beefy round with say 20 small pieces, It would seem any loss would be handling the split...

How to get big rounds on truck?

Thats a nice way to go! good old incline plane, I side loaded some 20' oak logs much the same but wrapped the rope around the trunks and pulled from the top, then they rolled right up the ramps onto the trailer and even loaded a second and third tier high. I ended up re-rigging my winch with...

    Smoked meat?

Can you mix those two with some beer to come up with a nice paste rub?

    Are stump grinders money makers?

Seems Europe gets the snazzy stuff, McCormick ZTX 280 & Rotor S stump cutter levaceppi by Peletta - YouTube stump rotor, 30 seconds per stump, If you had a few acres to de-stump, this might be the way to go.

How to get big rounds on truck?

I've been using a set of long motorcycle ramps from Tractor Supply, they're longer than the HF ones and have a bit of an arch. I roll the ones I can roll, the rest I'll take a rope to a pulley on the headache rack, over the log from the top and back to the rack to give some mechanical advantage...

    Smoked meat?

The flavinominoms in the smoked meat completely encapsulate and negate any inherent badness from the smoke exposure.

I suppose that might work on a suspect tree, using a ship auger to feel how its feeding?

    Splitter Hydraulic tank question

That is annoying beyond compare! Was just using the splitter tonight to chunk up some 36" oak, way too big to lift by hand so loader bucket and a rope, make a couple cracks, set it on the ground, spin the knot 90 degrees and do it again, soon its all managable pieces.

    Splitter Hydraulic tank question

Heh, heck no, but have been using it lots, maybe 25 cords run through it. Somehow I realised that I didn't post the final pics. Its been a great runner except that mice build nests up in the cooling shroud.

    Splitter Hydraulic tank question

late update :) A little update, the aluminum tank came out well! Its still a little slow with a 28 gpm pump but its a big bore. Inlet side looking toward the baffle. Inlet diffuser, works well at moving the air upwards...

4 banger Toyota pickup as a wood hauler? (Show me your Toyota hauling!)

Smaller trucks need narrower roads. I'd score some more agressive off road tires depending on the terrain where your wood lives, if its not too muddy actually those tires would be fine. Another option would be a lunchbox locker in the rear diff, they're not for rock crawling or high horsepower...

Hinge failure. Need some help with getting better survey techniques.

Dropped an oak and it became a fiasco. Tree wasn't the healthiest specimen, the canopy was light and a little scraggly, it'd been trimmed by power companies and the like as it was near a road. Its lean was parallel to the roadway and no obstructions in that direction. DBH was approximately...
