This happened to me once when I was cutting wet douglas fir and didn't bother revving the saw coming out of the cut.
Loosen your chain (or remove it completely) and run a toothpick / scrench to remove anything that's caked up in your guide.
Start revving the saw as you come out of the cut...
I have only burned about a half-cord so far this season but last weekend was able to replenish all of it with nearly-seasoned wood after cutting on DNR land!
I've never seen this topic on here before. Can we please discuss it some more?
Could someone interject some Husqvarna recommendations also to keep it moving even though he's clearly a Stihl guy?

Months of patience and persistence have finally paid off. A site opened up for firewood cutting about 25 minutes from my house!
It's only an acre in size (the entire unit is about 100+ acres) so we'll see how much wood is there. I was going to venture up there and check it out but there is...
No matter what saw you get out of that line-up just remember to drill, baby, drill when it comes to opening up the exhaust port.
I had a 310 and it responded very well to a muffler mod.

Hello,
Iʼm curious as to what you mean by this. Would you be willing to exchange wood if I were to cut some for you? Letʼs say you have a 5 cord pile and I cut / split a cord of it for you, would I be able to keep the rest for myself?
Thanks...
