    I cut like this last year the stuff the loggers leave seems pretty dry it lights with some paper and small kindling with no water boiling out or hissing

    I got a permit for the national forest and I drive around looking where timber sales have been and get wood they have left or blown down trees cut them up bring them home split and stack in my wood shed

    The hotblast came with the house it does push good heat now that I modified it to run a normal full size furnace fan but it does go threw a firebox full of wood fairly quickly unless you pack it tight with large peaces and crank the draft dang near closed

    It was not warm here in northern pa from all the lake effect snow and the weeks of -30 wind chill it was the coldest harshest winter in a long time

    Potato really ? That was very helpful. I work 8 to 5 and my wife works night shift while I watch the kids so on the weekends I go and get at least two truck loads and split and stack just hard finding it out in the woods were your allowed to cut with your permit sometimes

    I live in a small town that borders the Allegheny national Forest there is no gas out here only option is would or propane everyone out here burns wood including the only bar and the only restaurant some people have a small propane set up as backup

    Cut a load of cherry and maple today after work the most time consuming part is driving around in the woods looking for downed trees or spots where logging was done
