Those are neat. A friend of mine has a cutaway mini mac 6. Has a chrome bar on it. He refuses to sell it though. Ive tried. Really neat though. It even sparks when you pull it over.

Well its been over a year since i put a mac together. The last one i did was a real frankensaw super pro 70 gear drive.....this past week i took all the remaining parts i had and built another 70cc rigid saw. G70 cylinder, 7-10 crank and piston, 7-10 oil tank, g70 fuel tank, 10-10 air cover...

I like it! Ive not been as active here as i used to be but ive put together some real frankenmac saws in the past. Mixing and matching parts is so much fun cause they take little to make it work. Well done on that carburetor. Mark is correct there arent any 70cc cylinders that are bolt ons...

I too have taken a walbro sdc and added the impulse line to the top and it worked just fine on the big saw. I think it was a sdc 38a. As mentioned the adjusting needles were the tricky part to fit just right. I also took a regular single adjustable tillotson off a 125 and a fully adjustable...

Look for a 10-10s or 555 cylinder. The pm55 is the same size cc but set up for points. Pm555 early on were points then elec ignition and of course the 10-10s was last. Likely if you find a 555 it will be elec ignition set up so it would work just fine. Or get ya a 70cc saw cylinder and hide...

THe sleeves are final honed to fit the piston sent with the cylinder. Keep in touch when he is ready i can send his information to you. 30 over would be fine. Im gonna have one done for a sp 105 piston i have. Then build a sp105. ...eventually.

Hello all...been a few eeeks since i was here...i had the day off friday last week and went to visit my machinist buddies shop. He and i bought some 125 cyli ders together early last year to see about sleeving them. Other members have also sent him a couple of cylinders as well. Just to keep...

As mentioned wire it up and go for it. No timing necessary. If its a 2 terminal one youll know if its backwards...it may pop but not run. Swap terminals and go.

One of my favorites is a 6-10. Yes they are a lightweight powerhouse. I would put one up against many other 70cc saws for power to weight ratio.

Just the tip jethro. He he I saw a shirt last year that stated: i live in west virginia, but just the tip! Made me laugh. Anyway, i bet with little filing that roller bar will fit fine. Squareground, now thats a bar!!!

I wondered who bought that hedge trimmer off ebay?! Cool toy. Ed ive had a couple of those barbs break also. Only 1 leaked though. Ive also had 1 furl tank leak at the seam on that mini mac style tank. It looked great, put it together and fuel everywhere. Back apart and nothing...

The rings may just be stuck in the grooves. Ive been lucky like that before. If its shot nearly any 54cc engine will fit.in there. Points vs elec coil mount is about all the difference. There are always exceptions but 1-10, 2-10, 3-10 l, 10-10 will all work. Sneak a 57cc in it or better yet...

The de80 is an 82cc mac. Of couse its a go getter. They are unique though with their design compared to other 82cc macs. Ive got 2 of them and can tell ya they cut strong and run great. Heavy but good saws. What would wake it up is a 850 muffler and a non governed carburetor....but id also...

There are lots out there to use. I have used with great success, red rtv. I have also used clear rtv. I do prefer the red cause i can see where it isnt better. The key is that you dont use too much. A very thin layer is it. Not a bead, not a gadket thick but very thin. If not it can...

Welcome to the forum doc. That was a good story. Those little ones can hurt my hands taking them apart. Its not difficult but it can hurt. You will soon see your brood in the dozens with freebies when people know you like em.

Id love to see Buckin grab a 250 and say how awesome it is and watch ebay explode with them...at insane asking prices. Or better would be a difderent brand. He did the pioneer p series saws for awhile and they all did the same thing. Prices went thru the roof on the p40s and p50s forget...

    McCulloch Chain Saws

Oh man is that a correct statement. Ive closely watched that exact thing. He grabbed a 450 one time and made a video. Next thing you know 450 macs were on ebay commanding crazy dollars. Its kinda entertaining to watch that. He could grab the biggest turd mac saw and talk it up like a race...

He has veen on there for years with his mac power saws. Some videos are very informative. Some are very silly, all seem entertaining. He is very genuine though.
