How to keep carpenter bees from drilling stacked lumber?

Just spray with permethrin/fipronil mix.....Permethrin for quick kill. Fipronil sticks around and is amazing at keeping bugs away for a long time. It is used mainly for termites, but is really good stuff. Permethrin is also a good insect repellant and has has very low human toxicity.

Sold Almost new MS362CM with 20" light bar. $500+shipping

Title pretty much says it. Bought saw earlier this year. Thought I needed a saw in between the MS500i and the MS241c, so I got this 362c and muffler modded it. Runs great, but I have put less than 10 tanks through it. I just don't seem to pick the saw up like I do the MS241c and the MS500i. So...

    Bow Bar pro’s n con’s?

Wonderful for cutting limbs on ground. Can just walk down the lot. Easier to keep out of dirt than a bar. On small limbs, you can put the spike in the dirt and just pivot the saw forward which will lower the front of the bow into the limb and you can keep the bow out of the dirt. Been using...

    "You Suck" Thread 2020"--Pics required!

My dealer had these in stock. Walked out with both of them for an even $20. My local Stihl dealer rocks!! OEM filters for the 034S I got at the pawn shop. God knows how long these have sat on the shelf, but my dealer says he likes to stock a lot of old parts in case someone needs their old...

what method do you use to tune your saw?

I set the carb to get the saw running without dying. Roughly adjust low screw to get good throttle response and so saw is not running too rich. I have found that if the low end is set too rich, the saw will load up with fuel if you leave it sitting idling. If too lean, it will stumble when...

    "You Suck" Thread 2020"--Pics required!

Stihl 034AV Super Good looking piston. Great compression. Runs like a top $200 from local pawn shop. Had been looking for one of these but not willing to pay $300-400 for one in good shape. CAD strikes again. Not that great of a deal, but...... Kill switch is a little touchy. Will die...

My husqvarna 136 is killing me- even after carb kit- please help

Gonna go out a limb and say the flooding and the rubber chunks are different problems. Flooding almost has to be fuel side of carb and rubber chunks somewhere in the air pathway (air filter, intake boot, something in crankcase (seals or gaskets; not likely). I don't really know. Just throwing...

My husqvarna 136 is killing me- even after carb kit- please help

Agree that black chunks have to be on air side and not fuel side. Due to small size of holes in filter and fuel jets. Intake boot. Air filter. Possibly bits of crank seals or anything else attached to crankcase.

    Saw That Won't Four Stroke

While you are in the carb, check out your metering lever. I have overlooked this for years and only recently researched it. If all else is good with carb, if metering lever is set too low (below floor of carb) it can cause saw to starve under high load from needle not opening enough to allow...

My husqvarna 136 is killing me- even after carb kit- please help

Put new plug in. I had a saw that would run for a few seconds until plug warmed up slightly and then die. Plug would be wet. I thought saw was flooded. Plus it was a brand new saw, so I thought surely it's not the plug. But it was.. Also consider metering lever setting in carb as if it is...

beginner question from an older user

Would improve slightly due to less friction on bar due to shorter length of chain rubbing against bar. Would accelerate faster due to less rotating mass. I don't think either of these would be enough to notice while cutting or probably while just revving it out of the wood for that matter :)...

Sold Trio of NIB Stihls - Shipping included in the prices.

Dan, Thanks for the MS500i. Makes me smile every time I use it. What happens on arborist site stays on arborist site (for me anyways). I get in enough trouble as it is :)

Dolmar 6800i weak clutch spring - Fixed :)

Bought a dolmar 6800i off here in the trading post. Very cool old saw. Strongly reminiscent of Poulan 4200 and 5200 (based on how they sound at idle). Saw is in good condition, but when I fired it up, noticed that chain would move at idle. Couldn't idle it down enough to make chain stop...

    Husqvarna Bow Fitment

I may see how it lines up on my 394xp, but I feel sure there will be interference with the the clutch cover/chainbrake. Is the medium mount the k095 or is there something in between k095 and d009? Ad on ebay did say d009 mount, but I will double check.
