    Tree too thick for my saw

    I've attacked some 40"+ trees with my 18" bar -- I did it by cutting notches out of the tree so I could get the saw in deep enough. Definitely hard on operator & saw but sometimes, that's the only option. Also, it adds a pretty large amount of risk to the operation so be careful & as always...

    18" bar for 455 rancher

    Yes. I know because I bought my 455 with one -- that was about 5 years ago. Now, I kinda wish I had stayed with the 20" since the 18"-68 link chain is quite a bit harder to find AND a bit more expensive. Just my $0.02. --andrew
