    I;m 70 years old with bone-on-bone arthritis in my shoulder my 2 main saws are a 044 and a MS 261c I can do most of the work with the lighter 261 but use the 044 when needed much easier on the old body that way.

    Walnut??

    The color has to much red for catalpa, with the color and the way it split and the spalting on the summer wood and the appearance of the outer surface my guess would be dead Red Elm. I just cut 2 a month ago and they looked just like that.

    replacing oiler 018 Stihl

    Well took your advice and cleaned and changed the oil in the tank checked line. Started and ran with bar off it bubbled and then started to oil is working great now. Thanks Kerry

    Have already replaced worm gear will check lines. I got this saw as needs repair someone had run it with chainbreak on and melted worm gear.

    Hv 61 dying on side

    I have a 61 Husky that dies after a few seconds after turning it on its side to cut a tree down. It starts to lose power and act like it is running out of fuel will then die it also dies if you stand it up when this starts. It is then hard to restart. Any ideas would greatly appereciated. Kerry

    Electric Chain Saws

    I use the Stihl 220E at work to cut up large coils of 3" and 4"polyethelene pipe have been using it for over 5 years and can say it is a tough saw not sure about price but I know they are expensive but it has held up very well to a very tough job.

    Massey Ferguson runs but wont drive

    If it is a manual tranny it may be in 2 gears at the same time will have to look in transmission if so you should be able to pry it back with a long screwdriver.

    Black Widows?!

    The wife and I cut wood sunday,it was some I had drug up last fall and had been laying in the pasture since.we found 11 black widows in three truck loads we cut that day.She had nightmares that night.
