Help me pick my next saw.

Yep, I find it easier to get a deal on a bigger CC saw rather than the popular 60-70cc saws. I may be looking for a 90cc later as a "big" saw that I can mill with also. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

60cc Saws the "Best" general purpose saw concept proven over time? Maybe

562xp and 555 are pretty dreamy. I purchased a 555 and have 4 other saws around the farm. The 555 gets 90% of the use. The only time it isn't chosen is because another saw is in the tractors scabbard and I run across something needing cut. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

Technically a creek. It is at its widest behind my house. About 40 yards wide. There us a spillway on the neighbors side.

    New Chainsaw...need convincing

I went 555. If I needed bigger than a 20" bar I would have went 562xp for the extra $. I am more than pleased with its performance. The price was the same for a 550xp and 555 for me at my dealer with 20" bar/chain. "Best firewood saw" is said quite a bit here about the 555. I paid $585 OTD...

Not a fan of walnut for smoking. Cherry, oak and hickory are what I use most. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Common man looking for a chainsaw on a budget

Husqvarna 455 is a good one. I used mine for years with nary the issue. New with 4 year warranty for $379. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Sawmance?

Bucked about 3 cord worth of walnut, hickory and oak today. Boy, this saw is kick ass. I better not run a 562xp because if it is much better then I would be in trouble, CAD wise. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

Nice day so I thought I would run some fuel through the 555. Starting to make my way through the tops. Then we went to check stands, look for sheds and scout my next scrounge as both neighbors are having hardwoods harvested. Fine day in Ohio.

    What is the best engine?

I'll take my Autotune saws everytime. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

    echo cs620p or husqvarns 562xp

It was the same price for me to get the 555 as the Echo. I went that route. 562xp would have been the choice if $ didn't matter. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Silvers mostly here. Big, multiple trunk bastards that can be tricky. Messy tree also. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I will take pics next time. And by "wild" that would be a stretch as all of my woods are by residential areas. 200 acre fields, 30 acre woods then homes. Repeat. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Seems strange to me but makes sense. Our maples are what chokes everything else out here. The last silver I cut was +40" Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

new guy with saw fever, what to buy?

Husqvarna 555 is what I went with. Pro built, plenty of power for a 20" bar and it is relatively inexpensive for a "Pro" saw. I also have other saws but I dont see them getting used much anymore.
