Looking for a 22" D009 mount bar besides Oregon

Carlton (Windsor) used to make a 22" Speedtip. A quick web search only showed 20" and 24". Maybe they stopped production on that size. Speedtips are nice solid bars.

    Outdoor Greatness & Tree Service

Anyone know about them? Got 2 flyers in my mail a week or two apart. Saying they`re doing work in my area. I'm in SoNH and he's in NE Mass. Called him and he says he has a crane that can handle 120+ foot pine trees. His name is Wilson Ramirez. Anyone know or met this guy?

    Log splitter cylinder repair

The snap ring looks like a piston ring, there are no eyelets. There's a very small space between the face plate the cylinder wall. Talked to a friend's son who's familiar with hydraulics, he said there's a tool that will expand the ring in place.

    Log splitter cylinder repair

A little further investigation and I see that the front plate is held in place by a snap ring. I would need a ring expander tool to remove it. The seal kit on a few parts websites is around $170 and they are all listed as discontinued with no replacement suggestions. I'm thinking I may only need...

    Log splitter cylinder repair

You have any references for supply houses? I did find some equivalent new USA manufactured cylinders in the $300 to $400 range but not direct replacements. Would require new metal high pressure hose and fittings, not sure of the cost on that yet.

    Log splitter cylinder repair

I have an MTD 31 ton splitter that's leaking fluid out the front of the cylinder and the hydraulic fluid in the tank is very low. I lent it to a neighbor :( The little research I've been able to do is MTD used either a Fisher or a Best Metals cylinder, I have the Best. It's a 5" with 24" stroke...

I need a new chain. Help

No confusion here ... I think. OP had 33LG low profile chisel chain which is no longer made. 20LP/LPX is standard profile chisel chain and the closest replacement in the Oregon family. According to Oregon the H chain is BPX, not 95...

I need a new chain. Help

That Oregon 20LPX078G is what you want. Pass on the Trilink. The H78 is Oregon 20BPX which is semi chisel chain, the LPX is chisel.

Cheap 1/4" plywood is $25 per sheet at the moment. Those look like a premium grade but hard to tell from the photo.

Oregon 72LP Chain - File Help

You're confusing LP/LPX chain with Low Profile. 3/8LP chain (90PX/PXL, 91VX/VXL) is for small saws. The 70 series chain is standard size 3/8 pitch. The 70 series has 72/73/75 sizes for .060/.058/.063 gauges. Most of each of those sizes has different geometries/chassis like LP/LPX, LG/LGX, CL...

Oregon 72LP Chain - File Help

Did you buy that chain new from a dealer? Clearly it's not LP chain but if the dealer sold you ripping chain that's probably what you got. I can see in your photo the top plate of the cutters look like they're around 10 degress. I thought you had an old chain that was sharpened before and you...
