$40 for an oil change? Not for a 7.3 diesel (15 quarts). From everything I've read you will still have to change your oil every 5000 miles whether it's synthetic or dino. I use rotella and haven't had a problem.
I have electric back-up...it's only used if I'm gone for the weekend or a week or two. My electric bill (electric water heater) is usually $50 a month (summer or winter).
I got one (3410) this past spring to use for pruning an apple orchard--I like it-starts easy, idles nice, cuts good. I only pruned 30 trees or so but it very well.
I really don't know where to post this but since you guys make things out of wood, I'll ask here.
What type of wood do you use to make a cutting board--as in the kitchen for slicing things. Would oak work? I don't want wood in my food.
Thanks

I believe it has more to do with what your tractor can pull than what your winch can. I've pulled 28" diameter (@ the base, 16" at the top) 30' trees with my 35 Hp tractor and farmi 351p. The winch has pulled trees over/thru rocks (big rocks) and 3" diameter trees.:givebeer:
I used to be a gun gatherer (not really a collector). I've got a few barrels for my contenders that cost more than most saws. But mostly I'm a component collector. I've got 50# or so of gun powder in my basement and probably over 10000 bullets (from 17 cal. to 458 cal) and more brass than...
I have a set of log tongs and I hate them. I do all my logging and firewood cutting alone, and tongs seem to be a two man operation. I was using them to lift logs up to my trailer with a frontend loader, its a pain in the beehind to set the tongs and lift at the same time (my arms just aren't...
