    670 vs 930

Yeah it is a torque monster for sure. Ive got a 20” on the 670 and a 24” on the 930. Gotta say i have more fun with the 670 though. The 930 may be a candidate for a good port job.

    670 vs 930

Picked up a beauty of a 930 a while back, been running it here and there along side my 670 champ. I always figured it was one of the 930s that the transfers hadnt been opened up, it runs strong but more like a tractor than anything. The 670 runs STRONG compared to this 930. Definitely more of...

Nice I think the 910 is a bit more attractive. Never liked the look of the elux handle but it sure is smooth. Another 670 coming my way, just need a jonny in the 50cc range and I'll be satisfied. I think.

    Husky 350?

I just rebuilt a 350 with a Huztl kit. Saw had the plastic intake clamp, boot was very loose on the intake spigot. Likely the reason it melted down. I used a decent quality zip tie around the clamp tangs to tighten it up, seems to work fine.

    Jonsered plastics

Has anyone had luck bringing back color to faded Jonsered plastic? The fuel tank on my 670 has turned a brown color...not trying to restore it but it bugs the hell outa me :dumb2:

    What to keep?

Husky 272 top end will bump it up. I find that my 670 runs plenty strong as is with a muffler mod though. Porting.... always room for more power. That 670 is always a saw I can rely on.

    034 surging

They are frogskinz vents for snowmobiles. Like fine mesh material with adhesive edges. Someone else on this forum used them. I put some on this and my Jonsered 670. Can't say if I've noticed any difference though. Figure it can't hurt.

    034 surging

I did try a 036 huztl kit last yr, piston grenaded shortly after. Went back to the scored up oem 034 top end and it runs plenty strong. Base gasket delete helped that lost compression :)

Well I *think* I've got this thing fixed. Got the new farmertec recoil(mag/aluminum?) and installed it. New farmertec pickup line/filter. Ran perfect. Old pickup seems just fine but maybe it was collapsing or partially blocked? Either way , this saw is likely my new go to. Still Glad I went...

*I thought I had replaced the pickup, guess not. All these saws are making me a bit fuzzy. Pulled tank vent, no change. Had a pickup sitting on the shelf, installed it, went to pull it over and the whole center of the recoil tore out of the cover. Battle continues.

Well the backstory on this was it was given to me, melted down. I cleaned up the p&c, went through carb, ran it for a while(same issues but for the most part could tune it fat enough) Replaced crank bearings and seals, no luck. Tried an eBay Zama carb, no change if not worse. Saw hasn't...

Glad to report the 702 is a beast in the cut! Tuned for a bit more RPM, much stronger now. Need to file the rakers and get a vid :)

That sealing surface did look clean but maybe it is just mashed down to thin? I will take another shot at that. Maybe some loctite 518. Thanks!

    034 surging

Dragging this up again, Pulled the cylinder, inspected intake boot thoroughly, replaced impulse line, same issue. Saw fires right up on choke but lean surges and dies right away if you don't feather it to keep it going(even then way too lean) Adjustments make no difference. I'm going to pull...
