Pictures? I want to do something similar. How is the system running 14 years later?

    Veneer Timber Buyer?

Jhenderson, I suppose you are right. Quantity (or lack thereof) would probably be an issue. Thanks for the reference regardless, tho!

    husqvarna 350 chainsaw oil leak

Update: So that was almost 4 years ago. I rebuilt the saw, used it, had some issues, tore it apart and put it back together again, used it, and had some issues. Then I moved. . . and havn't had a chance to diagnose it again yet. The super glue repair seems to have held up just fine though.

    Veneer Timber Buyer?

Random question - Does anyone know of a good buyer of veneer logs in the north/central MA area? I'll be taking down a couple beautiful specimens of red oak, and I hate to mill it into generic 8 or 10ft 1x boards.

Husqvarna 55 rancher will not fire

Ever find a fix for your saw? I've had trouble with coils that will throw a spark when cold, but won't work for beans once the saw fires up for a minute. (Or maybe just too weak a spark to work right.). A new coil has fixed the "mystery problem" for me a couple of times on the 55 and 51...

Hi, All, I'm looking for some help identifying this Montgomery Wards I picked up recently. There is no model number that I can find. The sticker on the sprocket cover says "Heavy Duty Montgomery Ward 2.8 cu. In." and on the on the pull cord cover it says "lightweight". There is no model...

    Husqvarna Two-Piece ignition Explained please.

Hi, Leonard, I too, am experiencing some 61 clutch issues. I have one from 1986 (I believe). I wanted to convert the spur sprocket to a rim sprocket so I got an Oregon part for the "newer" model, but it is juuuuuust to small. I must have an "early model" type with a bigger crankshaft (bigger...

    Husqvarna 61 Rancher, Older.

*Correction* OEM part #501-8316-01 is a rim sprocket. Part #501-5140-01, replaced by #503650901, is a spur sprocket.

    Husqvarna 61 Rancher, Older.

x2 what you said about the threads. Looking around, the "late models" have fine thread M10 that the clutch goes on to, and the as the "older" clutches have a course UNC 1/2" Thread.

    Husqvarna 61 Rancher, Older.

'been researching. As far as sprockets are concerned, a "late model" 61 is one with a s/n later than 0510572. The Oregon part number for the correct rim sprocket for the "late model" 61 is #26831. (Thank you, Grande Dog, in post entitled "Checking husky 61 serial #") This corresponds to the...

    Husqvarna 61 Rancher, Older.

To resurrect an old thread . . . I've got a 61 that I'd like to convert from single piece clutch drum sprocket to a rim sprocket. (For the record, I've been running a 3/8 22" bar and it runs circles around my 550 xp with a 20" bar cutting oak and cherry. Dunno if that means my 550 needs help...

Hi, Firefighter938, how did that grommet work out for you? I'm considering doing the same on mine.

Experience with aftermarket fuel lines for Stihl?

I'd normally agree with you, Scandy14, and I may in fact go OEM for the fuel line, but I thought DD's comment here was pretty convincing. Well, not that one comment alone, but everything leading up to it combined with other things I've read surfing around the various threads. BTW that huge saw...

    Slow Down out there!

"SLOW DOWN YOU IDIOT!" Says myself to me after my chainsaw rips through the side of my boot and cuts all my laces. "Well . . . there go my new laces. Wait, is that warm wetness blood?! or is it just sweat? Am I OK?" The things that go through your head just when you think everything is going...

Experience with aftermarket fuel lines for Stihl?

Was just doing an ebay search for aftermarket stihl fuel lines, impulse lines, and intake boot, looking specifically for Farmtec, cuz I've heard its good. Before ordering, I checked with this site, and read DD's post higher up (#10) and thought, "wait, he sells good stuff. What is his online...

Chevy's the best investment I ever made. $400 14 years ago. Still going strong. Husqvarna 350 the second best investment. In pieces currently, but on it's way to a speedy recovery!
