    Do most chainsaws eventually leak?

    Chinese coil's

Get a used coil off here, I needed a coil for an old Stihl 056 and It came from OZ. I am Canadian, look in junk piles at local dealers etc... then post what you need here. I have traded so many parts its hard to count. The shipping bill fronm OZ was not cool but I saved an 056 Magnum from the...

    Easiest starting chainsaw? (50-80cc)

If Saw does not start on the 3rd pull, something is wrong. You can buy any brand and it should start on the 3rd pull in any weather. If I buy a new saw and the Dealer does not let me start it, I will walk away.

    Older Husqvarna 61cc Bogging Problem

I would bet my first child Fuel filter and carb is just gummed up. You can replace the fuel filter and rebuild the carb for peanuts, If you are uncomfortable rebuilding the carb bring it to a small engine mechanic with a case of beer and He will do you good.

    266 XP cutting red oak.

I would drain fuel, change spark plug and change fuel filter, Why? that costs nothing and that might be your problem, if thats not your problem then check compression. If compression is good then you have a problem with your chain, bars last a long time even when abused but they do need...

Why Do Stihl Saws Cost SO Much More?

Pick up the saws and try them in your hands, Then ask the dealer about the specs, does He know what he is talking about? does he stock common parts? Do the guys in the back that fix them know what they are doing ask a lot of questions? What do you really need? It is nice to have a 90cc saw but...

    New saw advise

well what I was getting at was the smaller 50cc screamers have accelerater pumps on the carbs and can get through the small stuff quick. If you want a big saw then what size trees do you cut? I have never had the need for a saw bigger than 70cc that size can easily run a 28" dia bar an a...

    Stihl quality = bad

I don't know much about this thread but Ive owned Husqvarnas Stihls and many others and I tend to believe that some features are good and some are bad. I always liked the switches on the Stihls better. They are easier to use in bad weather. I always liked the Husqvarna air filtration system . I...

    New saw advise

I guess the question is do you want something equal to your old saw or a powerfull limber? after you fix the old girl up get a big saw or a small limbing saw imo, so I say get a big stihl or a big husky in the 90cc range or get a small screamer in the 50cc range, take your pick...

    Chain Question

yup. if you don't bring a lot of extra chains with you the oregon and the carlton or Baileys woodmanpro (carlton) are better. The stihl chains seem to last a bit longer but are harder on files imo. I buy the Oregon or carlton depending what I can get a deal on. If you own a chain grinder or...

    New saw poll

Ill take one of each lol. I think it depends on a lot of factors they are all good saws just some might like them for different reasons. I like the 440 Stihl and the original372xp. I owned both and liked them both, the 440 had the torque and the 372xp is a screamer and just smoooooth. Stihl...
