    Juniper wood good for???

    I've lost live oaks to root rot, but now I have a mature (and seemingly healthy) Juniper that toppled. I know what to do with Oak but, is Juniper wood good for anything; firewood? Woodworking? Approx. how long does it take to season. Any insights would be appreciated.

    Root Rot

    California drought has killed all of the Ponderosa Pines, Cedars, & Douglas firs. Now I'm losing Live Oaks and the Juniper to root rot.     huge Oak limb - tricky cuts

    I had an Oak drop a huge limb. I bucked most of it, what I'm left with is a "tripod", I don't know where to start cutting that isn't going to destabilize the whole thing. I'd appreciate any advice on how to do this without having it roll over on me. Thank you in advance.
