To buy or not to buy

Hi Eddie. It may be false thinking but I like to think that being in Alaska increases the odds of renters having a better idea of how a chainsaw works and how to use and maintain it as opposed to someone from a great many other places out there.

    Bee hives

All of our military uniforms come pretreated with permethrin. I have to run them thru the was about 30 times before I even out them on. Not sure if it's the permethrin or the frame retardant treatment or a combination of the two, but my skin does not react well at all to a new uniform.

The neighbor is not an enemy... she is an ancient. Very sweet, very talkative, but struggling to understand why me being on crutches is preventing me from cutting trees for her. I want to find a hive and find a way to preserve it and have it as a show piece/display/ornamemtwhatever you call...

How do i kill a tree stump?

As a kid we used to use hundreds of pounds of salt on moose and caribou hides every year. Even with those numbers no one ever developed any issues. I reckon excess salt would be from oral intake and not so much skin contact.

How do i kill a tree stump?

Ok little goldfish boy. Everyone knows that anything is excess is bad. I am sure that in the state of cancer, salt is known to cause California, but I am highly confident that me or any other human can handle a lot more salt than some engineered chemical. The OP asked for options. I gave...

    Husqvarna 576XPs ?

My 576 is on the bench in the background. Non AT. Used it in Georgia on pine and oak, and using it in Alaska on some larger cottonwood, all with a 32 inch bar. Full comp and skip tooth bith depending on what I am into. From the southeast to the northwest only needed a small carb adjustment as...

How do i kill a tree stump?

Like you said, naturally occurring. Yup. I dont see myself in court with Morton's about their salt like so many people are with Monsanto and their round up.

How do i kill a tree stump?

Try some salt. Its organic. Works on grass and weeds and bushes and such. Should kill a stump as well.

    Noob chainsaw advise

I am not a "pro". I do have 3 saws at the current point in time and they all get used. Husqvarna 576(70ish cc) Stihl 193T(topsaw) And a dolmar PS510. (50 cc) The dolmar is my go to saw for most of what I do. The 193 is for the times i have to climb, and the 576 is for the chainsaw mill and...
