I have a saw very similar to the one pictured, it was my 1st new saw. I bought it around 1980. The saw I'm dealing with isn't top handle and although similar in ways to the one pictured it's somewhat more modern. I'll get pics tomorrow.

craftsman 2.3 that appears to be magnesium and possibly a Poulan. Sticker has 1991 on it so im assuming it's from that Era. This saw looks brand new or I wouldn't mess with it..

A friend gave me a 1990's Era Craftsman saw to get running for him. It's pristine so worth working with. It has a Walbro wb310 and I've kitted and ultrasonic cleaned it a long time. I cant find a 310 or the prior/replacements 247 or 310-1. Can anyone help with a possible replacement .

I bought an am carb for it after a kit and ultrasonic clean didn't fix the original. The carbs have only an idle adjustment. The saw runs great but idles too high and the chain spins a little regardless of where set. Is the screw for an idle circuit and is there anything that can be done to idle...

If we had an almost suck thread I would post there. I saw an 260 pro on Marketplace for $30 and messaged immediately that I'd take it and never heard back. I concluded he didn't have messenger and I should have posted on the ad instead.

No time for this project and I need room in the shop. It's been sitting several years and feels like it has good compression. Look at the pictures and you will see at least 1 screw missing from the carb. There is no stone on the sharpener and iirc this isn't the type of chain that is used with...

My experience with a leaker is they won't idle and act finicky revving up but scream on top end.....then melt down.

I've used Hylomar with positive results. I've used it on motorcycle engines, 2 cycle kart engines and chain saws, never had a leak.

I like my 026 better than my 391. Being an old guy I dont like the weight of the 391 and I only use it for bucking larger logs. Did your 026 die or are you just trying to upgrade?

Bad oil pump and hose and I'm unable to locate the parts. Can anyone send me in the right direction? It's not mine and I'm just helping a friend but it's a very nice looking saw that he says is strong so I hate to not see it being used.
