    Husqvarna 242xp Questions

I can find a Husqvarna curly fuel line but not a Stihl. Are there part numbers for the line? Is that a dealer only part?

    Husqvarna 242xp Questions

Thank you and I will be looking! It's a fun saw, so I don't plan on revenue with it, just fun. As far as finding parts I found out looking for the muffler. I was lucky a guy on Ebay had all the stuff I needed. He was selling the bolts and I asked if he had the rest:) The saw had the curly...

    Husqvarna 242xp Questions

Hello, I picked up a local 242xp with a bad piston and a missing muffler. I ran into a problem today figuring out the new OEM 242xp fuel line was the wrong one for my saw. In my research figuring out the fuel line, I discovered that the 242 piston I put in may not be the correct one as well...

    Magnesium Mites?

In California that's practically the first thing I check when looking at a saw. If the saw has been in landscaping, you may as well forget about it. If it's been in landscaping AND they are selling it, there is a problem, even if the saw looks good.

    Magnesium Mites?

I left a gun case on the concrete floor and over time it got white powder from the concrete on the case. I figured out what was going on and cleaned the case by hosing it out. I let it dry out completely and stored a AR-15 in it a few months later. Fortunately, I decided to go shooting and...

People don't yet take battery operated chainsaws seriously.

Well, you could get a speaker and set it up like a RC electric with a sound computer and be whatever you want. Big V8, Formula One, or a two stroke!

    550xp won't start

Pull the fuel line and try to start it. If it fires and cleans out/dies, then you know it's fuel delivery.

    Are electric chainsaws safer?

I have cut my hands and legs on non-moving chains more than moving chains. I got an infection in a knuckle from jamming it into a sharp dog/spike that still gives me pain (electrics have those too). I have had hits and close calls with flying chunks of sticks and wood in the face and shins...

RYOBI chainsaw is worth the money

I can tell you their warranty is legit. I picked up a couple of Ryobi Gensets that had problems from a guy who did the store pallet buys. Both were frozen up and would not turn. I got to the generator side and broke free the new looking one and it seemed to have gotten stuck on the ride over...

Gives new meaning to cutting wood.

What to Do with a Husqvarna 61and a bad piston-cylinder

So I ended up getting the cylinder from Ebay (the ones with orange background) and it went back together nicely. It runs great too.
