    Thanks. Evidently had too much rope. Shortened rope, wound spring a lillt tighter and works fine now. Was going to drill pully and put split pin thru eye of spring. Would work but did not need to.

    I will check the rope pulley again. Spring hook is ok. I don't let rope snap back. I adjust so it has good spring tension but usually after starting a couple of times the handle onlt retracts part way.

    Have a Mac 110 and the pull starter keeps losing tension. Steel dogs look good as does the plastic piece they engage. Any ideas?

    Would like to find a place to download and print a service manual, owners manual and possibly parts manual. Also need to locate the sheet metal inside and out side chain guides if this came with them. Is air filter just a plastic framed screen or is it supposed to have "flocking" like my 028WB...

    Where is the serial number located? Trying to figure out the year. Has 1/4" pitch and a white chain cover. Which is better the 1/4 or should this be updated to 3/8. There seems to be both available. Will use for climbing and trimming once in awhile. Finally gave up on my old Craftsman...
