Fabricating Parts - One Rubber, One Aluminum - For Stihl 051/076 - Any Recommendations?

Yes, but it was only a small run; I just got enough for the saws that I have.

Want to Sell 1966 Ford Fairlane Convertible, 428, 4 speed, Completely Restored!

I'm ok with it being gone. I'll buy another 66 or 67 hardtop soon and do a street/strip build with either a Windsor or FE. Thanks

New from North Carolina seeking battery chainsaw recommendations.

Milwaukee M18 is what I have, mainly because I have a few dozen M18 powered tools in the garage. I use is sparingly around the house/yard, but I've been pleasantly surprised by it.

Anyone Know Anything About Vintage Cat D7 Dozers? Trying to Rescue a Non-Running One...

Well, it's back up for sale, this time for $8k. It was originally listed non-running for $5k, so $8k running/moving/steering doesn't sound unreasonable. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/923125939501642/?ref=browse_tab&referral_code=marketplace_top_picks&referral_story_type=top_picks

Sold Stihl 064, Rebuilt with NOS Parts, $1,600 Invested, Sell for $1,000

Ok, so I bought this saw for $450 and then I kind of went nuts with buying NOS/OEM parts for it; see list below. It has the original piston and jug; both were very nice, so I just installed some Caber rings and called it good. It also has a rebuilt carb, new fuel lines, unlimited coil, etc. It...

Anyone Know Anything About Vintage Cat D7 Dozers? Trying to Rescue a Non-Running One...

Contacted the owner today to let him know that I wouldn't be buying the D7. I suspect he's going to be ok with that, especially since he can now ask more $ for it and let prospective buyers know that it runs and moves.

Anyone Know Anything About Vintage Cat D7 Dozers? Trying to Rescue a Non-Running One...

For those of y'all who are familiar with old Cat dozers, since it looks like I'm done with this one, what should I look for if I wanted to buy one to tinker with? I'm thinking another Cat, something old (1960's vintage?) but in decent shape, pony motor would be great, and something that could...

Anyone Know Anything About Vintage Cat D7 Dozers? Trying to Rescue a Non-Running One...

Today was an out-freaking-standing day! Picked up my buddy Will at about 7 am; 35 or so degrees, which is frigid for south Texas! We were on site at about 9 am, sun was shining and it was warming up nicely! Ended up in the mid-70's by early afternoon; just a gorgeous south Texas "winter" day...

Anyone Know Anything About Vintage Cat D7 Dozers? Trying to Rescue a Non-Running One...

Ok, headed back down tomorrow to see if she'll move. We hope to have some technical expertise on site as well... Dropped $350 at Napa on various fluids and $58 at the local Cat dealer for the drain plug socket. If I don't end up using all the oil to top off the various reservoirs, I'll have to...

Sold Stihl 076 - Nice Saw, Runs Great, No Issues

I got the saw as a non-runner. I gave it a partial disassembly and a full cleaning, fixed several minor issues, rebuilt the carburetor, swapped in another ignition trigger, and now she's a runner. Idles at right around 2k, as it should, and tops out just shy of 10k rpm, but tuned a bit rich so...
