Want to Sell 272xp Top end

Cylinder has a decompression valve. Every now and then, you’ll have fellas ask if they can upgrade their 61,266se or 268xp to the bigger 52mm bore of the 272xp. The whole intake tract, intake block, hardware, and gaskets need to be swapped out due to the differences in the intake block and...

Want to Sell 272xp Top end

Anyone interested in a 272 topend? Brand new. Meteor piston, all new hardware, seal collar, and intake block from the dealer. Paid $90 a few years back for the hardware and intake pieces/gaskets alone. Came off my 268 chassis I upgraded. I have the rest of the complete saw if interested in the...

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

I thought the women’s championship on Sunday was much more exciting. Iowa and Caitlyn Clark and the well rounded USC team. What a game! Ended up placing 3rd for the men’s brackets in a pool with a bunch of former colleagues.

I felt it in my classroom floor and then the projector started to rattle in the ceiling. I knew it wasn’t normal. It wasn’t the feel but the sound of rumbling that threw me off. I didn’t expect an earthquake to be loud?

    Withdrawn Husky 394xp Project/Builder

Don’t rule out a Jonsered 2094/5 if your interested in a big CC saw. Not much listed project wise on marketplace around the Philadelphia Metro area. Most 394’s that I see are in the $700 range. That doesn’t sound what your looking for….. I’ll keep my eyes posted

Speaking of cool critters and Delaware, there are also wild populations of Sika in the marshes in the SW portion of the state. Cool animal with amazing vocalizations. Sometimes called a mini elk……Id LOVE the opportunity to harvest one. Check them out…….

Fishers are neat critters and get a bad rap unfortunately from sportsmen who think they decimate the turkey population. Check out Dr Jeff Larkin of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and his study of the contents of 93 fishers across 30 counties in Pennsylvania. Mostly rodents, small...

Cost of living and low taxes? Check out Delaware. Small state, no sales tax, low property tax, a fraction what we pay in Pennsylvania. Plenty rural if you stay off the coast. My in laws retired there and it’s nice, we frequent the area a lot.

For what it’s worth, i literally scrounge all the wood i get. Pick up from the curb, split, re-sell. I actually used a slice from the tree feller to hold open a cut to prevent a cut from closing up. Any rec’s for wedges? They run $14 a piece for husqvarna wedges from Lowe’s by me.

I didn’t bring a tape, but the diameter is sizable. I’m sure it would be world of hurt if it came down on my foot or leg. Thinking about the physics of it all with tension and compression and want to be as safe as possible. I won’t get a chance to cut again until next weekend anyway.

Never thought of a helmet with mesh. Not a bad idea and would be a simple solution to fogging up. I was actually thinking about you while cutting Brett. At some point, I’ll tackle the trunks. I’ve never cut anything suspended like that, most logs have smaller pieces under to keep them off the...

Wife’s friend told this homeowner I like to cut wood for firewood. He didn’t quite get it…….tree service dropped the trees, Ive got Ash for the foreseeable future. Also, what are you fellas using for eyewear? I sweat and these “anti fog” safety glasses still fogged up.

86 f250, rebuilt 351W, 2WD, 30k on the rebuilt motor, 4 speed, all 4 tires good tread but I’d replace due to age. EZ dump in bed. Bondo around the wheels. Frame has surface rust. More of a GM guy but could use as a work truck. Seller is asking $4k. I’d never pay that. Think $1k cash is...

What’s is he asking? 3/4 ton 2wd. Miles? I know used vehicles are going down slowly and market values are regional.
