You're absolutely right. I saw the big muffler and it reminded me of the one on my 3270sc but it has a different shape to it. 1200a it is.

With that muffler and choke, my guess would be 3270SC.

cbfarmall, Nice looking 2400, can even see a faint amount of the Pioneer Logo on the bar. I really like these 77cc saws! Had the same failure you mentioned on a 3270SC where the cage bearing blew apart where the rod attaches to crankshaft. Was able to clean the cylinder up as most of the...

    Lombard chainsaws

In case anyone else ever comes looking for this information, my local store had the Timken/National 253747 and they fit well. Made such a difference. Even when primed, prior to the seal change it would take 3-5 pulls to get it started and wouldn't hold a tune for any length of time....idle...

Freudianfloyd, Were you able to confirm if the Napa seal part # was a correct fit? I realize your post is from close to 2 years ago but I find myself in a similar position of needing seals for an AL42. I've got the old ones out and will take them down to a bearing supply store to have them...

I just finished rebuilding a 3270SC, basically same as the 2400 only yellow with an auto oiler and choke. I haven't had it in wood yet but I'm impressed with the throttle response and man that auto oiler flat slings the oil! If that 2400 is a good price, then in my book yes it's worth picking up.

I've seen a lot that were missing the spark plug cover as well, seems that got lost often. I like how the 3200 spark plug cover is green. I have a 14-20 that has the primer and I too converted it to use a bubble style primer as the original diaphragm was toast. I never quite figured out the...

Wow, that's a great looking 3200! Good to know another saw of the same series experienced the same failure and was able to be brought back to life. 1/16 inch thickness is what I measured and ordered last night for a 2" bore. (2.01 x 0.063 in) Thanks for the tip on ring gap, been thinking about...

Here’s some pics of the damage. One thing I didn’t mention was all the broken cage pieces and ring pieces that are now embedded at the crown of the cylinder. Suggestions on freeing and removing are welcome. One thing is for sure, I don’t care if you like chainsaws or not no one can argue how...

Good afternoon guys. I'll try to post some pics tonight when I get home but until then wanted to pick the Pioneer guru's brains. I picked up a 3270SC off the bay about year and a half ago and just got around to working on it. It was a Buy It Now and advertised as a parts saw but for the price...
