@fordf150 sells a bar adapter to use with "standard" stihl bars. He also sells the bars!

I made do with my old 021 cutting down 30" trees. It worked but took really long! My Cs-620 takes a 1/10 the time! It all depends on the budget and will power!

If you have that in the budget, go for the Echo CS-620! I love mine! I bought the Cs-590 for a buddy and it's close but not the same. Look for an Echo dealer having a customer appreciation days event. That's good for a 20% savings. It should get you close to $500.

Echo CS-590 is the best bang for the buck. Muffler mod it and retune and you will be good for a while.

The 620's are good. I wouldn't have thought it would handle a 32" bar that well! I'll stick with the 28" it came with.

I use the saw brake when I'm doing stupid stuff. I did some cleanup help with my church after Hurricane Michael. It was a twisted mess and required some less than ideal "techniques." There were occasions when we would start each others saws and then hand them over with the saw running. Always...

But we all do it! Im guilty of it and I bet 99.9% are. We all buy Walmart items and look for the cheapest parts. I make an effort to buy locally when it's within 10%. I may need to up that to 15% but that puts a dent in my tight budget. To get way off track: I wish the feds would stop giving...

Someone who does porting had stated that you won't see much gains from a ported 620 due to the performance it already has. If this is what you want to do, I'd say go for it! I've always wondered what it would do to a great saw!

Buyer beware with Chad! Advertised a CS440 and delivered a CS4400. Said I should be happy I got a $100 (not!)parts saw for $50. I would not buy anything from him!
