    I can't hand file a chain!

I've been cutting for a little over a year now, and I just CANNOT hand file a chain right! Lately I've been free handing my chains, and they are VERY sharp, but the top plates are getting too long on the left side, and they're chipping! I've been filing at 25°, and matching my file to the...

    Climbing gear essentials

I'd like to start climbing, but I'm not really sure where to start gearwise. Would it be better/cheaper to piece together my own gear, or to just buy something like the Entry level spur and rope kit from Wesspur? Any good resources to look at? It's going to be recreational for now, but I...

    Correct my sharpening!

I've been using a Husqvarna roller sharpener, and my chain doesn't look right to me. I feel like I'm cutting too high and not leaving enough "lip" on the front part of the tooth. Is this true, and how can I correct it? Thanks.

    066 production year

I picked up an 066 today in a firearm trade, and I'd like to know a little more about it. Serial is 152934146, if I'm looking in the right place. Late model? Does it have carb caps and a rev limiter? Any quick fix for oil and gas leaks? I can take more pictures if you need them! It's a whole...

    066 Mag Trade Value

I'm thinking about trading a few guns for an 066, how much do you think a saw like this would go for? He wants 900 TV for the saw, 24" bar, 36" bar, 4 24" chains and 3 36" chains. Is that fair?

Want to Buy Huztl/farmertec/arbortec 660 kit

If somebody in the States ordered these kits in bulk, or has one they no longer want, I'd like to get my hands on one for a good price. If you have a different Huztl kit, I might still be interested. Thanks!

    Tuning 390XP carb

So I bought a new 390xp last week, and I've been trying to figure the carb out. I have always tuned in wood, getting it to cut clean and 4 stroking when the load is lifted. I can't seem to get my 390 to 4 stroke though. I set it at the richest the cap would allow and worked my way up to the...

    390XP opinions

I visited my stihl/husqvarna dealer today looking to purchase my first big saw. He had one of last year's 390XPs on sale for 900, 24" bar, it felt pretty nice in my hands. Quality saw? Is this a good deal, or should I try to find something used? Thanks!

    New Undertaking

I purchased a 20" Timberpro 62cc under the impression that I was going to be doing mostly light cutting. Turns out the plot of land I'm working on is mostly large felled trees that need bucking and stumping, along with some bigger standing honey locusts. I'm getting a quality replacement chain...
