    Falling pics 11/25/09

We sure appreciate all you assholes from Washington bringing in the Covid and crowding us out of all the beautiful spots we work our asses off to enjoy. **** YOU!

More of the glitzy-glam faller's life.... It would be a pretty nice spot in July, lol.

Whats a good Tool Belt/System??? BC Faller Standards

Grizzly peak enterprises makes all this stuff. The aluminum wedge holders are nice in winter as they don't fill with snow like the leather wedge pouches do. And it's affordable.

It is December, the ms500i watch game

Ok thanks. My left arm/hand do not like vibes. The dealer's been after me to demo one, so maybe I will grab it for a week.

Premature bar wear mystery on new MS 661 C-M

OP, Like a few others said, push the pin in to run max oil. Every saw I have is set to max. It's annoying buying a case of oil a week, but i get really good tip and rail life. A good saw shop should be able to hammer and grind your bar back into serviceable condition.

    572xpgw

For anyone else looking for one of these in the US, my local shop was able to order the full wrap heated handle as a separate item. They swapped the bars and just charged for the price difference between 1/2 wrap and full wrap.

    Boot chaps?

Check out Hoffman's boots. And yeah, good old gravity is a *****. My feet have definitely gotten wider.

    Stihl MS441 or 461 or 442

461's are my all time favorite. Dependable, easy to work on and great power to weight. But I had to give them up because my left arm is permanently numb/tingly, falls asleep constantly. Had a 462 for a year now, no issues. But, I've bought 2 572's this month. That's where I'm at. If you...

    572 filter update.

It's not a 100% fix, but way better than before. I'll gonna give it some leeway, given that yesterday and today I probably had 5-6 larch snags in my strip. I'm dry heaving by the back cut with the amount of fines those things produce.

    572 filter update.

I agree, the fines getting through are the only flaw I've encountered. I'll let you know how it does.

    572 filter update.

The saw shop had one of these for me yesterday. The only gripe I've had with the 572's is the fact that as good as the filter setup looks, fines still get past it. This supposedly cures that. I'll find out tomorrow, got a strip full of big cedar and larch. Sorry in advance if this old...

    Unbelievable wood find

I fall timber for a living in western Montana and I'm usually camped for the week. Forget about leaving anything in camp over the weekend. The bastards will cut locks, pry open camper doors, you name it. As well as steal firewood out of the stack beside your camper. Pretty low to steal...

    Stihl MS660 or 066

A flat top 066 is pretty hard to beat. Just plan on numb fingers and arms.

    Husqvarna 550XP boat anchor

The 572's are pretty nice falling in the mountains, just fire it and go. No time wasted fooling with the carb when you move to a new unit or job.

    Husqvarna fuel filters

572 I bought last weekend has that filter in it. Just noticed it today. Definitely oem.
