    The Beg for Manuals Thread

I truly appreciate your generosity of sharing this information! You guys are GREAT! Thank you! Is this the correct place to ask this? Did someone find or compile sort of a timeline or catalog years of sale, cost, specs, etc. I am specifically interested in the late model saws that were made...

    The Beg for Manuals Thread

Hi there experts, I searched thoroughly and cannot find the manual I need. Can anyone share a service manual for a Stihl 024 Super? I just received a nice older saw made in West Germany on which assembly of the brake system is necessary. Thank you!

Ted - my reply was bifurcated to A. Ktomp and B. Ted. No commentary intended about the value of your machinery or your activities.

Ktomp - Wow, shiny! That is a lot of weight out off the rear end! Keep it and your workers safe! Ted - You need to include photos of all that!

    Best mid sized stihl saw?

Toadman - thanks for the explanation. You speak as an experienced wise man. I am less experienced and less wise, currently at 33 years married. Wife and I remain committed to preventing two unknown people a lifetime of misery. Enjoy life!

    Best mid sized stihl saw?

Toadman - Since you mentioned it here, what is "agressivly single"? Please explain. That sounds like it might be a good idea. Discussions of chainsaws and relationships in one place! Thanks!

    firewood tractors

Captain - I agree that the big grapples can be too heavy. This 84” grapple weighs about 1,100 and it feels like it out on the loader. It was important to me that the design if needed allows removal of one tooth section on each side without getting too close to the hydraulics. The tractor has...

Want to Buy Stihl 021 Left Side Plate with working recoil starter

Hydraulic Forklift for Tractor 3-point hitch

Thanks for the suggestions. I will get some photos when I can pull it out of storage. It is a great tool, but I no longer need it. On any of my tractors with a rated load it does not lift the front end because of weight and leverage.

Hydraulic Forklift for Tractor 3-point hitch

This is a Hydraulic Forklift for Tractor 3-point hitch that was built professionally by Phil Brown Equipment in Michigan. The hydraulic cylinder is powered by a hydraulic circuit on your tractor. Simply plug in two hydraulic lines to the tractor remotes on your tractor. On my tractor...

    firewood tractors

I have not been back here for too long. It seems you guys have been working all the while. I finally found a log / root grapple that I liked at an acceptable price. I bought it from a place that sells skid steer attachments that is about 2 hours away so big savings on the cost / shipping...

    Craigslist laughs?

Trapper Pete - he is pissed because you made the job look to easy and too short. He wanted to watch a bigger show so he could tell the other old cheapskates how he got the job done for free, plus he conned you into hauling away for free the wood that he didn’t want. He wanted to see you sweat...

I'm looking for a new log splitter

Wow, you have used that probably more than the average user would use it in a lifetime. Considering how much wood you split, might it be more efficient and productive to search for a suitable firewood processor? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Lets see your log splitters! Pics please :]

Bob - that is a really great old splitter. That looks like the pilgrims brought it over on the Mayflower. Any idea how old? You really got your moneys worth by rebuilding it. I hope it keeps splitting wood for many lifetimes. Best wishes.
