    What Model McCulloch is it?

Pull the air filter cover off and look for a metal tag that has an ID number. If you run that number in a search it should tell you exactly what that saw is. Yes, it looks like a 10-10 but there are several versions of the 10 series that look similar to that saw. If you don't have that tag...

Want to Buy Stihl 046 fuel tank and possibly piston

Looking for a 046 tank. The one I have has a poor repair job and I'm looking to upgrade to a used tank. Also, looking for a piston/ring and "O God" clips that are also in usable condition. Aftermarket parts will work. Thanks for reading Dave

    McCulloch Chain Saws

Got a load of Juniper with my son Jameson today. He is worth his weight in gold...stacks, throws the stick for the dog, moves the truck, eat my donuts and doesn't mind when I swear. We did good today. Ran the 125, 81 and 064. Got out of there without breaking anything and only ruining one...

    Favorite Saw You Own

McCulloch Sp81. Hands down, no questions ask, next subject. It's loud, rattles bolts free and is sketchy to run. But man does she cut.

Can I save this piston? Stihl 026

Also, I have an aftermarket p/c from a previous project that is unused. Testing the aftermarket piston on my OEM cylinder the clearance is tighter than .003. I don't have a thinner feeler gauge.

Can I save this piston? Stihl 026

Thanks for the response and I will sand some more. Not worried about it going bang but enjoy the learning process. Using the feeler gauge I can move the .003 and .004 feeler gauges but the .006 doesn't slide. The .006 will go in but doesn't move unless forced. Only going in a 1/4'' with the...
