That's the problem, I acquired the saw as a part saw and it's missing the clutch.

Been trying to figure track down a decent aftermarket clutch for my 61. Ordered a Hyway and the thread pattern is not the same and will not work. Seems that the crank has coarse threads and new clutch had fine threads. Any idea what I need to order?

Do you know where to get a full wrap handle for a 61?

Looking at the clutch drum on my saw, it's a seven spur 3/8 but there is a drive sprocket that turns worm gear for the oil pump. I'm not seeing alot of these exact drums available online. Replacement drum must be slotted so worm gear will work. Any ideas?

That's a shame you can't pick up a brake band easily for these saws. Alot of them are still around. Like the looks of the metal hand guard.

Need help on the original metal flag brake handle. Wondering if there is a available brake band for the early clutch covers. Would really like to get my brake back in working shape.

Did a 61/272 hybrid conv. On an old white top 61 rancher I have, now just trying to see what I can do with this 272xp saw. The 61 turned out pretty good I feel for my first time ever doing anything like that on a saw.

Have a 272xp laying around that is in need of a top end. Is there any recomendations on getting more power out of this saw.
