    There was a recall on those engines, if I remember right it was a fuel cap causing to much pressure and allowing some sort of fuel leak.

    This is what I did a few years back, did use a 460 cover at one time with a stihl filter but looked a little goofy to me.

    The hood had to be raised, it was just enough to have my knuckles hit the hood when I went to start it, I needed something a little taller, I do run the max flow without the cover most of the time

    I did, ms460 cylinder, ms660 3/4 wrap, 660 felling dogs, 440 max flow air filter, stock carb bored, 460 intake boot, husky decomp, stihl bar nuts as well as bar adapter, stihl d handle
