To all, my beef on this thread was with walker not "defending Echo". However I think Echo makes solid equipment.... but not for the Pro IMO. But myself I am not a Pro wood cutter but I prefer Pro grade equipment.

I have not run a 260 so I dont have opinion but I own a Echo 4910. Except for the handle and coil, the Echo 501 and 4910 are basically identical. For what your needs are I would consider the 4910. It has the same magnesium crankcase, crank, piston, etc etc as the 501. With tax I paid $406 from...

I agree 100%. I have the Echo 4910 (much the same as 501p) and its a hoot! Brian its like you said, they have their place. Don't knock it till you tried it.

I use a 2 1/2 gal No Spill can for my trials motorcycle which overflows easy when filling and like it a lot. Right now my other gas cans are older non safety plastic cans but would buy another No Spill when needed in the future. Good quality and made in USA.
