    Runnin' Loads

Took down 22 dead standing fir trees a couple weeks ago that a friend had on his property. These are pictures and a short video of the more notable trees. I had to climb this one and remove the limbs on the downhill side so it wouldn’t want to fall towards the barn as it was rotten at the base...

Inside the MS462C - Snellerized Style

My anxiety level is through the roof seeing your new saw torn apart like that. I wouldn’t think twice about one of my older saws, but brand new? Have you noticed any shorter life of the saws that have been ported, or is it about the same as a stock saw? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Post pictures of your woodpile/splitting area

I have been giving some to friends that either can’t afford to buy it or have found themselves ill prepared. Makes me feel better about the next saw I decide to buy and of course I have to try it out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Post pictures of your woodpile/splitting area

I thought my wood pile was out of hand, I have four or five years of wood ahead. considering I burn one cord or so a year. My home is fairly well insulated and we don’t have harsh winters in my region of Oregon. Your stack makes mine look like child’s play. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Stove pipe, which direction?

In the event of fire, creosote buildup will liquify and run down the inside of the pipe. If the pipe is installed crimp up and not sealed completely, the liquid will exit through the joints and spread through the house. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Log splitter problems

I 2nd that. Also let it run for a while and check for hot spots. If it’s a valve bypassing or adjustable pressure relief you will see the temp rise with run time. Check the pump for heat as well should be about 100 degrees over ambient temp after warm up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    SP81 Cylinder and Piston. Smoked?

Parts would recover the 100 you have in it pretty quick. But,I just happen to have a sp81. It has started every time I decide to run it, and it’s in decent shape maybe could use some cleaning. . Not really sure it came with one but it doesn’t have a hand guard on it. I’m really not attached to...

    hydraulic pump leaks?

It should be easy enough to replace. You might find an o ring in there sealing the case if that is where it is leaking. Just be sure you keep it as clean as possible so you don’t cause more problems. If your in there it would be good to replace shaft seal as well, should only be a few dollars...

    Descender

Doesn’t the I’d have a longer arm than the body? Grigri has a short arm like this one does. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    200T Validation

Sounds like grandpa maybe picked it up for an easy to handle pruning saw for his home use. You might have stumbled on a gem, I would be looking at the clutch drum and plastic to make sure it is oem and not aftermarket replacement. Then make sure the cylinder is an good shape you should be good...

    038 bar length

I haven’t run an 038av, but i have two mags and they pull a 32”full skip chain like a boss in fir, spruce and maple. You can put a fair amount of muscle on the cut also before she starts to slip the clutch. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Pimp my wedding

Funny how unfinished wood and firewood used to be a material you wouldn’t see in a wedding, and that same woman would probably think it was so “cliche” ten years ago. Now its a sign of creativity and a guy can make good money supplying it. Glad you made a few bucks on it. Sent from my iPad...

    038 mag II help please

The choke issue may be the throttle return spring in the handle. Try pulling the top off the handle and make sure the end of the spring is sitting in the pocket of the throttle lever then carefully replace it and hopefully that will solve your problem. This has happened to my saw before. Both...
