Want to Sell Husqvarna 142 Sold

Realized I'd probably sent my info in the wrong place. Sent it again in "conversation".

Want to Sell Husqvarna 142 Sold

Oddly enough I just had a guy trade me a 142 for a small load of firewood and I know his is going to need some work/ parts. I'll take it. PM sent

Want to Sell NIB HUSQVARNA 390xp CHAINSAW POWERHEAD $945

In all honesty, I'd have probably run one with a 20" at least once purely for the silliness of it since that's how it came. I'd never think to do it myself, but if I were handed a saw with that setup it would be too much fun to resist doing it, especially in some softwood :innocent:

Want to Sell NIB HUSQVARNA 390xp CHAINSAW POWERHEAD $945

I'd say that makes sense, but it's kind of ludicrous for Husky to do that in my opinion. It seems like chicanery to sell you a saw with that setup knowing that you were going to have to immediately drop the money to properly utilize the saw. At a minimum those guys should have been placed in...

Want to Sell NIB HUSQVARNA 390xp CHAINSAW POWERHEAD $945

I've got to ask: what kind of diabolical hardwoods were you getting into that you needed a 390 to run a 20" chain?

Want to Sell Sweet Makita 6421 hurry

Damn, that saw brings back a lot of memories. I'm wondering if your grandmother didn't used to work on my crew? We did a conventional survey of the lower Atchafalaya Basin where a good bit of "Swamp People" was filmed. All day in waist deep sludge cutting trees. We'd fell above the water...

Want to Sell Sweet Makita 6421 hurry

Now I'm in trouble, I just found OPE. Now I have a new place to check out, although a good number of sales are duplicates from here, so that narrows it down some.

Want to Sell Sweet Makita 6421 hurry

Gotcha, thanks. Every once in a while we can get away with one, typically when it's a pretty obvious scam. Some one will politely call BS while a mod reviews IP addresses and so forth.

Want to Sell Sweet Makita 6421 hurry

So as an FNG on the forum, I wasn't completely nuts when I saw this ad and thought the seller was "all hat and no cattle" ? I scour the TP several times a day and this listing was certainly one of those "one of these things is not like the other" situations. The other forum I'm on doesn't...

who's got info on Hurricane Irma

I was on standby to head down to Tampa to work for a tree service and to bring whatever supplies they couldn't get ahold of. We talked the day after the storm and it just didn't seem like there was enough work to need the extra hands they were anticipating.

    What is this?

My leaf ID is generally not great, but based on the bark and that heartwood my first guess would've been Ash.

What did you buy yourself today?

New set of Husqvarna chaps and grabbed a little Stihl hatchet on sale in a bucket sitting on the checkout counter. Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but I haven't reached the point yet where I've said "nope, I have too many edged implements laying around".

Thanks, I appreciate it. I spend a few hours a day cruising around and reading old threads. The collection of knowledge, sarcasm, and wicked ballbreaking is epic. Definitely my kind of place

    Sold Stihl MS461

Man I'm glad that sold. I've been eye-f***ing it for days. I'm very active on a shooting forum and we've been getting creamed with scammers lately. I didn't want to be the FNG on the forum who's first post was wanting to buy a high-end saw. That was certainly a great deal on a 461. I was...

    Axe restoration thread

I try to avoid social media. This forum and a shooting forum are about the extent of my online presence, but that's a good suggestion, thank you.

    Axe restoration thread

Hiya Gents, For several years I've used the site as a learning resource but never joined. I finally got tired of not being able to view pictures in some threads and signed up. I've always appreciated a proper axe, having manually split wood since I was a pre teen. I got pretty frustrated at...
