Everyone one around here is selling their OE 372XP saws that look like they are pretty well used for $600 and up. Most go to the dealers - get the price of a new saw and hope to go half on a resell. You know the ads that all say something like totally rebuilt but rough cosmetic shape - no low...

I also have a Farmertech G372XP that I got from Bluesaws. I'm running a Chinknesium 24" bar and chain. The only "mod" is a Walbro carb. It's been through a goodly number of dead ash trees and recently saw service in a 28" Poplar. We must have had a short micro burst come through here...

I have run a Tanaka top handle w/ 14" bar for several years with absolutely stellar performance. It seems like we are always cutting something down due to woods thinning, clearing, wind damage, dead ash trees etc. That little Tanaka has been a very good all around saw and fits good in the ATV...

We just put 5 tanks through our Chinknesium (so funny) Farmertec 372 XP whacking down an 80' Poplar (that also took 2 skinny Maples with it). Straight stock except a Walbro carburetor. Running a 24" Farmertec bar too. The Poplar was 28" at the stump and it took it all with no complaints...

I have 2 Lawn Boys that I start this way. I used some Loctite on the flywheel nuts and torqued them good.

My little New Holland 1520 with the 3 pt carryall is pretty nimble around our place. I can lug everything I need down to the woods - cut and haul back a load in the bucket and the carryall. Keeps me busy enough.

I like it. Good build.

I already did that and the $9 one that I tried didn't work any better than the $8 one.
