    Timber Bear not starting

on other things (leaf blower)ive had luck removing the high speed needle and spraying starter fluid into the hole. not to start anything but i figured starter fluid was safer on gaskets than carb cleaner. another time(on a larger carburetor) i used a dental water pick and screwed the plastic...

mac cat wildcat sudden smoke issue

yardsale find, says mac cat but its a tophandle 2.3 with an 18 inch bar so im assuming its a wildcat. pulled exhaust looked at piston and see no damage, and it has spark. fuel line was bad so i replaced that. started it and it was running and i was trying to tune it. thought i had it...

    Timber Bear not starting

ok, so bad news...... the spare carb is doing possibly the same thing yours is. will idle, wont rev up. but, if i put the choke on while trying to rev it up, it revs up into the high rpm. i stopped playing with it so i dont hurt my saw. my thought is the hi speed screw passage is clogged...

california 93446 alternatively, i checked my parts and i have multiple spare carbs. if i get time i can rebuild one and test and if its running right, i could ship it to you to test

    Timber Bear not starting

maybe switch it out with a known good carb. at least for testing purposes, if someone will loan you one. or send your carb to someone with a good saw and have them switch carbs and see if the problem is your carb. im happy to test your carb for you if you want to ship it.

have you pulled your exhaust and visually inspected piston yet? i have a eager beaver that compression tests are around 140 but the piston is melted. itll fire up for a few seconds but dies. also, forget the aftermarket carb. get an original carb. i might have a original carb sitting in a...
