How was I supposed to know that?

OK. this is an old thread BUT. Recently due to storm damage the TV news is showing a LOT of people with Chainsaws clearing downed trees. I'm trying to not be critical BUT I can't watch. So far NO one I've seen has made any kind of under cut, NO one is using wedges of any kind. Saws being abused...

36" bar on a echo cs- 590? Anyone try? Looking to use one to make a few cuts in some large wood.

It depends upon the man who runs the saw. When I drop a huge tree with my 590 and big bar. I DO NOT hog the saw. I Do not lay on the saw or push down. I Do not dig the spikes into the wood because I am NOT in a hurry. IF someone is running on the Clock they would NOT want to take their time...

Thanks. The prices of the Echo are still affordable anyway and the quality is there so its not much need for a China equivalent.

Do you know of a China Saw that might be comparable to the Echo cs352 in size, weight, reliability, and power? Not that Iam going to buy another saw, but a lot of people do ask my opinion..

Well,, Guys at 76 and slowing down,, I can't imagine me ever buying another saw but,, I'm glad my saws are all old Stihl and Echo's. I'm still enjoying them but not like I used to. This year, I'm burning Firewood and might for a few more years but who knows. Life is short but we don't realize it...

Rim sprocket for Echo cs 352

Found this today for sale on line sold by "The big river in south America "Store". With the 352 going away someone phoned me yesterday trying to buy my cs352. I could sell it but I'm not sure I'd like the cs 3510 and the one I looked at has a Spur gear. I think my 352 is great and it's set up...

Is this a "Goat" tree? (funny)

You have my admiration for that "Great" reply. In this world where so few people like to learn, the few studios ones, like you, and me, plus a few of my best friends are a delight. Thanks for that information. We already know Civet Cat coffee cherry seeds come to us in a similar fashion. The...

Anyone Burn Brush Chipper Chips In Their Stove Or Furnace?

Just a guess here,, I'm wondering what would happen IF..If a metal barrel half full of Wood chips were to be placed into a brush fire with just a small air vent. Kinda like we make Charcoal. I've never done this BUT it seems to me maybe this would make the Chips burn. When I was studying this...

    Screws keep loosening up.

IF the screws will get Hot, I've used small clean copper wire. Usually Stranded no insulation. Even on the motor bolts on my 23 hp Lawn mower motor bolts. In metal some screws like to have a groove cut length wise half way up the bolt. I use a Dremel tool for that. It kinda makes it into a self...
