    New to milling

Mornin’, I’m thinking about getting into the milling side of stuff and building some unique types of furniture and what not. Just a couple of questions. For those of y’all that buy wood...how much should I try to spend on logs and do y’all buy them buy board ft or just buy the log? Also what...

What you see is what you get. I know nothing about this saw and have fooled with it very little. It has good compression and the chain moves...chain brake works...Pm with offers.

I'm looking a building a log bucking trailer for my next project. Gonna be a dual axle probably around 12' long with a winch mounted on it to pull up the logs. Anyone have any picks or ideas to throw my way.

    Log Splitter lost power

Messed with the splitter some today. After taking off a couple lines to add the pressure gauge I think. It blead itself some cause it’s got a lot more power now...busted through some notty stuff reading 2200psi.

    Log Splitter lost power

The leak was in my return line before the filter. I had a loose fitting. Just re-taped and tightened and all was good. I did have a line burst... the braided line on the return side of the cylinder. I have since replaced both lines on the cylinder with 1/2in hoses. and I noticed when I had...

    Log Splitter lost power

The engine is not stalling under load. On rounds 12" or smaller it doesn't have much of a problem as long as it's not a croch or notty wood. On bigger rounds I can sometimes move it around and find a soft spot but most of them it just starts to push the wedge into the round and then...

    Log Splitter lost power

My splitter seems to have lost power. I checked my oil and added quite a bit. I had a leak. I'm running a 4x24 x 1.75 rod cylinder, a 11gpm pump and a 6.5hp Predator motor. Any info on some trouble shooting and ways to increase the power would be appreciated.

Adding a hydraulic log lift to my splitter.

I'm looking at adding a hydraulic lift to my splitter. Just wondering if anyone on here has done this to their's and how did you plumb in the second valve. I'm thinking a couple of black iron pipe elbows and nipples and either join them with a union or having some real short connecting lines...

Just picked up a Pioneer 500 saw that is running. Haven’t tried to cut anything with it yet just wondering if it would be worth anything to anybody on the forum. I’ll post some pics in a little bit.

Thanks fellers, that's what I figured but I'm still green behind the ears when it comes to chainsaws. Learnin' though.

    Looking at a Stihl 460

I have a guy that's got a Stihl 460 that he said is locked up and needs rebuilt. What should I look at on this saw and how much should I pay for it. He's asking $50.00 but I haven't seen it yet.
