Factory flagship hot saw. 262xp Experimental saw that got the line moving

More details on this thing…evidently before handing this thing off that person took the kill switch out of the saw and made sure to loosen the carb enough to squeeze the blue wire under it. They also removed the fuel filter and gas cap. It was started one time I can tell from another crazy...

Factory flagship hot saw. 262xp Experimental saw that got the line moving

I noticed it on eBay. Two rivers in top cover and white muffler caught my attention before The serial numbers… ”Prov 2 262 91600… I’m leaving the last two off as this is crazy enough as it is and I do not need some crazed saw freak trying something that would make me have to do something

Factory flagship hot saw. 262xp Experimental saw that got the line moving

My reception where I live isn’t good enough to upload pics. But I can assure you that this is one piece of art the engineers had to have poured their minds out onto. I will post pics tommorrow. It’s untouched and as far as I can tell the one that got lost in the fray….

Factory flagship hot saw. 262xp Experimental saw that got the line moving

Found in all places but eBay, the saw that engineers made the final adjustments to for the 262xp line of saws. It has a stainless steel muffler. Not a hda87 carb but one even larger. Two piece stainless steel heat shield attached to inner side of top cover Swirl marks in top cover denoting...

Farmertech 372xp wont hold a tune

When I was new to all this I couldn’t believe the price on the hutzle saws. I hastily ordered closet to a dozen and a whole lot of parts for other saws from hutzlforma The name should’ve had my suspicions higher than it had at the time but greed had me by the ears and I started into r putting...

    Husqvarna 372 XT unlimited coil?

That’s my 2 cents for whatever it’s worth. And forgive my bluntness but I hate to see anyone throw away money when times are like they are. You’re probably young as well. Maybe you aren’t hurting for money but a lot of these firewood cutters could be. To give back a little to the forum here, for...

    Husqvarna 372 XT unlimited coil?

And as far as tuning is concerned, turn the hi screw left until the saw bogs then back right until it first starts to clear up. Go another 1/4 turn and start cutting. Lean it out gradually over time. Time as in a yak or two of gas. Turn the hi needle 1/8 turn at a time but do not think it’s...

    Husqvarna 372 XT unlimited coil?

In addition, the blue coils limiter will never ever be a limitation to the saws rpm capability unless the saw is revved continuously out of the wood.

    Husqvarna 372 XT unlimited coil?

Dude use the blue coil. All these posts about how much better the black coils are are hogwash. The blue coils were engineered to make the saws more reliable. All this crap about bouncing the crank off the limiters doing harm this is hogwash as well. Better to worry about that flat file on the...

Aftermarket Cylinder... good and bad... the Truth!

Hyway cylinders are not good. The plating looks nice but it is the adhesion part which is weak in their cylinder. The plating came off the combustion chamber of one destroyed engine/372 Its a crap shoot and trial and error pulse time/money finding good am parts

    365/372 kit builders thread

On am cylinder upper transfers are almost always off size and lower in spots causing interference with piston crown Egan they are supposed to be fully open While this will surely be debated I did come to find as a fact that by beveling the edge of the piston Crown in the place of interference...

    365/372 kit builders thread

Deleting base gasket doesn’t increase stroke of crank in effect or in theory. It does have its benefits but to increase crank stroke the cylinder volume must increase.ie:be lengthened/made taller, not shorter.

    My Husqvarna 272xp

What it all boils down to is a sign of the times. Manufacturers across the board are trying to compensate for the worlds troubles by saving money on production and shipping costs by making lighter products. Less material is less money. On a mass production basis the 100 grams, or whatever it may...
