    Stihl 170 oiler

Noticed the 170 oil flow to the chain slowed way down. Is there a setting on them? In a hurry out in the boonies and didnt want to tear into it out there. I love the saw for knocking off smaller limbs and been using the hell out of it for that. Bought it on auction and know nothing about it...

    Todays load

got a lot cut up today. This is part of it , got about that much more in the shed. I just cut random stuff,--some long some short' I like the short stuff better cause it has more good straight grain in it. The big stuff has interesting knots in it which has uses too. Have another load of logs to...

    Cant Hook

These things are expensive, so I made a crude one that works as good as the fancy ones do! The handle is a seasoned hickory limb and the rest was scrounged from the scrap pile.

    RM 4620 Bandit

Bought this one from an auction and it started right up and ran for a few mins. and sounded like carb needed adjusted, so while in the process of doing that it just died never to fire again! lol! MS 251 Dis-assembly

Bought this 251 at an auction and its history. sprocket bearing is out and plastic burned but still usable, paint burned off the bar, gas is fresh but smells weird! I never smelled gas like that before so have no idea what they had in it. Motor turns over but really stiff and from a half azzed...

    Oiler question on Sthil 025

Just bought an 025, ( ya I know I'm not a Sthil fan,--LOL!) and it acts like a decent saw. VERY hard to start the first time but that was due to it sitting for who knows how long. It starts after 1 pull choke on then next pull choke off since I have reset the carb and did a bit of cutting with...

    Shorten bars

Ya, shorten a 14 or 16" bar down to 6, 8 or 10 max for trimming branches off logs. 6 or 8 would be the best. I dont need all that extra bar sticking out and wearing on the chains, plus hitting stuff on the other side. I want to take 1 small saw, shorten the bar and use it only for cutting limbs...

    MS 881

Are they any good? --- I was offered a new one in the box for a decent price and might be tempted. The main thing holding me back is the bad deal I had with my new MS 250 that I FINALLY had to fix myself. 6 Stihl dealers around here CLAIMED there was nothing wrong with it when it was a factory...

    Vermeer 1600-a

Anybody have a copy of the parts and service manuals for these? I have no idea of the serial # since the hitch tag is damaged. Just bought it and needing a drive belt too in the near future. Right now the new starter/sol./and switch are not working either. Kinda wanted a wiring diagram so I...
