    Outdoor Boiler: Opinions?

I use an log gasification indoor boiler, sited in a room below our single story home( house is on a hill). our home is now over 200m2( after digging out the basement and remodelling) and use about 15T of wood a year, not sure how that would equate to cords but to be honest can't be much more...

    Dang squirrels! Help!

Would second this, have a HW77, the prior model to the 97 and this thing punches holes through 1/2" ply at 25m. can easily get an 1" group at that range.. I just sit in the kitchen and pick off the Bunnies as they invade the garden. :)

    Big sycamore anyone?

Heat our home with it mostly as it is our predominant wood here, but has been debated before the sycamore in the UK is more likely to be London Plane, doesn't have the splitting issues and is free heat.

    Splitting Pine

So guys, I have come into two large pines, all buckets and sitting in my land, do I A) leave them to dry some and split or B) have at them and get them Split and stacked. Only reason I ask is I have other wood to split , but if the pine is gonna be harder to split semi-dry will do that first.

    The Burning Bush

Would be fair to say, as much as I hate paying taxes etc, at least I don't have to worry like you guys about working it all out, wages etc are taxed and netted. what you get is what you get.

    Firewood planting.

Walked the property today and started picking spots, anyone know how to kill brambles(blackberry)? And keep them dead. Have about 1/4 covered in them that would make a great place to cover with oaks. The walnuts are going in a blank spot at the bottom of the garden and the shagbark is still up...

    Firewood planting.

Well given that I am 38, I see me having 50+ years still, but like I mentioned in my last post, they would be more for my children or grand children. Anyway just because I might never use them is no reason not to plant trees. That's why we are getting into SRC, the willow will be usable in just...
