    Husqvarna 562.

Love mine, got better and better up to ~15th tank and now just rips and can really lean on it. Only problem I saw fine dust getting around the air filter down into the intake so stuck a layer of grease around the base ( learnt from reading on here). Other than that I can't bring myself to use...

Help Me Pick out a New Husky Saw! 555? 365? 572xp? Something else?

I'd check your area in Washington for what dealers are nearby and reputable, for any issue you may have in the future. If there a good Husky dealer nearby grab ya a 562 and let the fun begin..

    Sold Duce Built 372XT

Nice saw, I got a Duce Built(tm?) 372XT a couple months ago, now it's one of my favorites. My buddy never ran a 372 gave it a rip and was like holy %#%&! GLWS Brett :)

    Firewood and Poison Ivy

I just blast through it then use an axe to shave it off the rounds but normally by the time I'm cutting trees down the PI has lost it's leaves. I usually end up with some minor rashes here and there from the vine but I guess maybe I don't get it as bad as others do. The biggest thing that has...

    Drop Starting a Chainsaw

I drop start em all from 30 to 90cc and so does everyone I know. Only exception being my China MS660, mainly so I don't break the starter off though lol. Sometimes I'll start it from the ground so I can feel it's off compression before delivering a committed pull.

    Ever buy something cheap

I got a pair of those couple weeks ago, pretty sweet. I like the rubber they use, it allows you to keep most your dexterity, doesn't feel as stiff in the cold as other high grip gloves. I've been using the non-winter version for months now (get frome Home Depot, ~5$ for 3 pack) while we grade...

    Husqvarna 460 Questions

On a 455 Rancher I kept my oiler at max and it did very well on a 20" bar was always nice n' wet. It was very close to 1 tank of bar oil for 1 tank of gas. I'd definitely turn it to max with 24" bar.

    ms660 build

I've had mine just over 2yrs, guessing ~40 tanks of fuel through it. Using with 24 or 32" bar. I plugged decomp, used oem wrist pin bearing, oem elastostart, Stens air filter, and used a Raisman cylinder in place of the farmertech. Problems I've had so far was the oil pump didn't pump worth a...

562XP Project - Who Likes Puzzles?

I thought the 555 was small mount and 562 large mount? The 555 cover fits 562 with no mods?

    Favorite Saw You Own

I usually grab my 562xp first. It's the closest thing I have to a "hot rod" saw and is big enough for 60-70% of the wood I have to cut. It's not too heavy, handles great, wicked throttle response, starts hot or cold every time no problemo, and sips fuel. Took awhile to break in, I'd say ~10...

    Me Again Asking More Questions....562XP

Absolutely grab that box! Especially since evidence points to them being later models. I use mine as my go-to 20" saw and it never disappoints. Hope you'll make a pic heavy build thread too

Your chain of choice on a 50 cc saw?

I'm running .325/.050 16" on my 346xp. Oregon "Speedcut" bar and 95TXL chain. Pretty sure it is a narrow kerf chain. Really smooth cutting and stays sharp longer than LGX I run on all my other saws. Cuts darn near as fast too.

    Any Gen-X’ers heating with wood?

'76 here (never even knew I was "Gen X" till I just googled it, thanks a lot svk :)) and been heating with wood since I can remember but I started helping my dad with firewood duty in probably the 2nd grade stacking and whatnot. We lived in Maine until I was halfway through high school and...
