Unless I am mistaken no. The 271 will be a clamshell and the 261 will be a prosaw (non-clamshell) mag case.

I would give internal organs to pick up a decent 461 used for that price. The last one on CL here while very clean was $1150 and he wasn't budging.

Honestly if you are worried on weight with the 261 and have no phyical struggles I am not sure any saw is really right for you. Its a tremendous saw and at only a difference of $50 the right choice of the two.

If you follow the discussion you will find it appears to be confusion on what was what so calm down. If you remove the sprocket what shape is the bearing in? Once removed does it free up or does it still struggle to spin by hand?
