Let’s see those firewood stacks! Anyone heard of MeWe?

I got a bit from some crews taking down trees this weekend. They said the wood's for whoever wants to stop and grab it so . . . free wood! I got better rounds yesterday but I didn't want to get in the guys way today so I'll just grab more tomorrow. Unfortunately I got it home today only to find...

Gas can spout replacement (good one)

I've been using the "water jug" replacement spouts from either TSC, Amazon wherever. They come with 2 nuts for the spout, sometime I still have to use the one that came with the can, a vent (make sure you use the right size drill and it pops securely into place) a cap for the spout and they work...

    New Wood Shed

If it works, here are mine I built last year. I had to modify and reinforce the plans I worked from but they worked like a charm last winter. Way WAY better than the couple pieces of dimensional lumber on the ground it was all piled on with a gigantic tarp on top. I just keep the snow between...

    Idiot Stihl dealer

Yeah, you don't think asking for a loop of RSLK would be too much of a prick move would it? I was just going to give them the file part #'s and see if they could order them.

    Idiot Stihl dealer

At my Stihl dealer I asked about a file for square chisel. The first time the kid just didn't know what I was talking about, last week however another guy declares they carry nothing of the sort and in 30+ years he's never even heard of such a thing. Yeah, I think I'm gonna stop in there today...

    Craigslist laughs?

I had something about saying it with Krylon but upon closer inspection that appears to be 100% genuine imitation sharpie!

    John Deere CS56 bar/chain woes

A picture of the bar adjuster and one of the bar where the bar adjuster fits would be helpful as well. Could there perhaps be a bent crankshaft in the equation here?

    The Beg For Manuals Thread

I've got a Husky 266XPG on the way. I've found a parts list and a 266 owners manual but I'm not having any luck finding a shop manual. If anyone has one I'd be most appreciative while at the same time hoping to never actually need it.

    The state of delusion.....

We Well, it IS from Portland. His old one probably burnt up when his ironic beard got tangled in the chain with his vintage artisan thrift store trash picked flannel shirt while he was adjusting his frog eyes. Go snag a $42 Poulan, a can of orange krylon and let him talk you down to $80.

    Axe restoration thread

I found a hatchet head in a drawer out in the garage last week along with a shingling hatchet with a messed up handle and 15 nails in the eye. I ordered some handles from House Handles that showed up friday and spent the weekend working on them. About 2 days were spent thinning the hatchet...

    Crock Pot Recipes

My favorite crockpot recipe is to toss in a 2-3# brisket. Then mix 2 jars of Heinz chili sauce with a packet of onion soup mix and pour it over the brisket. Then you just cook it on low for 8-10 hours. You pull the brisket out and you almost can't even cut it before it all just falls apart. This...
