Owned a 462.
Replaced stolen 462 with a 572.
Haven’t ran the 572 a whole bunch, but my initial impression is that the 462 is the superior saw.
Should have bought another 462.
Depends on the dealer support that’s available and what exactly I’m looking for. Just bought a Husqvarna 592 because its numbers were better than the Stihl 661. It’s my first Husqvarna.
West Coast Saw makes a nice raker gauge that works on full comp and skip. It won’t work on reduced kick back chain.

I don’t have anything bad to say about my 462. I really liked it and sold my 362 to fund a Husqvarna 592. 462 is a solid saw. Since it was stolen I’m looking at a replacement 462 or a Husqvarna 572. Not even considering the 500.
I will say I think my 462 was being pushed with a buried 32 in...
I saw that it “sold.” Hopefully it’s still in her possession and she just got cold feet. Can’t tell from the pictures if she defaced the sn. Mtronic displays mn and sn when plugged into the computer?
Ouch. Canceled Facebook account as punishment. Cruel and unusual that is. I would prefer she...

If anyone is in or around Reno and can buy my saw back I’ll reimburse the 800 and pay a 200 reward. If you can involve the police and get her arrested I’ll pay a 1000 for reward...
I just had my 462 stolen out of my truck. Now I’m considering putting an air tag under the cover for in the future. Has anyone done this? Will the AirTag survive the heat and vibrations? I’m also aware it will notify, but I’ve seen videos on how to remove the speaker so it’s harder to find.
Taken from my truck this morning:
Stihl 462 3/4 wrap with 28” Tsumura light bar. West Coast Saw Bark Box & 3pt dogs. Aluminum skid plate. In a True North scabbard with wooden insert.
S/N: 186527618
Definitely looking at the WCS exhaust port. I was considering the dogs too, but I kind of like the 592’s factory dogs. I’ve got an aluminum skid plate/tank/handle protector on my Stihls, does anybody know where to find one for a 592?
I have a Stihl 362 that is now on its third coil. The first was under warranty 4 years ago. I replaced it again last summer. Last week it died again with no spark and is on coil three. Is the 362 known for coil failures or is there another problem I’m failing to diagnose?
Until there is support for new nuclear power plants we know they’re full of feel good but accomplish nothing nonsense. Small scale mass produced fail safe nuclear power is completely possible. It’s more than possible and it would completely make obsolete any large scale solar or wind energy.
