The myth of high compression in 2-strokes

I I think you're taking about cylinder pressure. Dynamic compression ratio can be calculated based on the timing overlap, inlet valve pressure (on a 2 stroke for this case the inlet valve is the transfer port and the inlet pressure is the average case pressure while the transfer port is open)...

The myth of high compression in 2-strokes

Are there any spark ignition engines that have more than 190psi on a compression tester? Even monster 14:1 static compression super bike motors don't do that. You know why? Static compression only matters in its effect on dynamic compression. For a given fuel in a naturally aspirated motor...

    Porting a Chinese G621 Clone

I drilled a hole and added welded in another tube, for looks. You can probably just drill another hole and be fine

For the muffler ports in taking about the outlets.

    Porting a Chinese G621 Clone

Yeah for the 5200 style ones, be they 45, 52, or 58cc the best power with the least effort is to make sure it's a quad port cylinder, these have little fins on the very top of the cylinder like pointing up, then put a bigger diameter intake on it and a 372 carb. To do the 372 carb you just have...

    Porting a Chinese G621 Clone

Yeah that's a zenoah clone. Why world they make a new upper plastic and new brake flag? Those don't break, it's the thin tube wrap handles that break when you treat it like a $100 saw.

    Porting a Chinese G621 Clone

Idk about to Australia but huztl seems to always offer free shipping on assembled saws.

    Porting a Chinese G621 Clone

I don't think any of the zenoah clones had double post chain brakes. If the local aus prices have gone up so much you might as well just order direct from aliexpress or huztl.

That new one you bought sounds like a husky 365 copy.

    dissecting an earthquake chainsaw

The 46cc craftsman unfortunately looks just like a normal china 5200 on the parts diagram, no transfer covers.

    dissecting an earthquake chainsaw

Where's here? Any saw that's not stihl, husqvarna, echo, or makita is probably one of these. Like timberpro, x-bull, baumer, Honda, hodna, etc.

    dissecting an earthquake chainsaw

That link doesnt work, but when you copy the url from the link its just to a normal open quad port 58cc jug. You need a 58cc crank or else it'll have a bunch of squish clearance. It'll still run better than a 52cc dual port on a 52cc bottom end though because the quad ports are that much better.

372 intake boot how are you guys torquing them?

    Bulk bar oil or alternative?

If you don't let your saws sit just buy the cheapest vegetable oil in bulk you can find. The canola and random veggie stuff crusts up on the chain and sprocket of you let the saw sit for a month, but wd40 spray down clears that right up. Just run the oilers full open. Plenty of people have been...

372 intake boot how are you guys torquing them?

What's this plastic part? My huztl has a metal one that the carb bolts to. Maybe you should buy the AM flange since it's not plastic.

Real men don't wear ear plugs

At the very least you'll hear a squirrel rustle some leaves the next town owner and think it's a deer

Real men don't wear ear plugs

Just get electric muffs to hear the callers. I can't believe people hunt without them you can crank the gain up so you can hear the ticks fart a quarter mile away.

    372 Pston swap/mod

This thread is about taking a 268 piston and making a high top from it. The one you bought is 372 based. It's a totally different piston design, the 268 is a lot lighter and doesn't shroud the transfers as much.

    372 Pston swap/mod

No, with 1 gasket it ended up with the intake right at 80deg and 20 thou of squish. They didn't machine the quench pad of my big bore jug at the factory so it was all wavy, I just took it to it cleaned up. The old super glue sand paper on a junk piston and spin it with the drill trick, didn't...

    372 Pston swap/mod

It's not fun. I took all my meat off the band to fit the 272 piston and run a base gasket and it's got silly high compression. Like I'm sure it would cut faster with less.
