is your 260 a pro? the non pros have a crank driven oil pump(the oil pump shoots oil whenever the saw is fired up). i dont remember if it has a washer or not compared to the worm with the clutch driven system.

you can also check with hatch4045 on ebay. hes my go to, more so than the dealer

was the carb swapped? had a 352 doing almost exactly that. put new(non oem) carb on and after adjustments, ran like new.

if you have stihl bars, guys on here make adapters to work with your echo. i use an adapter on my 600p and +1 for archer, started using them a couple years ago

both are still great just got a cheaper 024 cause it "wasnt running right", was just a carb tune issue 261 for me, 024 for the lady :)
