Was given this today along with a bunch of bars, looks in pretty light used condition with good compression, will throw a carb kit on and see what happens, will go nicely with my five other 009s

Thank you, that's what I assumed but I was a little confused after reading that thread.

I don't know if this is a you suck or not, was given this saw in unknown condition missing the starter and ignition, decided to throw some chinese parts at it given the piston looked good and the compression is so high I can barely drop start it, it absolutely screams and cuts like a beast, the...

I acquired this big beast today, starts and runs mint just had to unblock the oiler. The sticker on the starter cover has worn off and I can't see anything stamped anywhere to indicate what model or CC it is, anyone have any idea? Oleomac is all I can figure. Has some torque to it, tries to...

I don't see very many old american saws down here in new zealand, you guys probably see a lot of these but I was excited to find this and pick it up for $20, seems pretty clean and tidy and it runs crisp on half choke, so I'm currently waiting for a carb kit to arrive and fingers crossed it'll...

If you were to buy a 70 cc saw tomorrow which one

I run a 36 inch sometimes and I'm surprised how well it pulls it, usually in grand father pine or macrocarpa (monterey cyprus?)

If you were to buy a 70 cc saw tomorrow which one

Shindaiwa 757 Pro, here they were $1250 vs $2200 for a husky 372xp and in my limited opinion just as good, I find it to be a very nice smooth saw.

    Battery powered chainsaw?

Long life fuel is good, I've always heard that a little extra 2 stroke oil will lengthen the shelf life of fuel too, and I've got a mate that removes the kill switch from all his 2 stroke gear and kills it with the joke claiming it floods the engine with fuel and oil, the fuel evaporates and...

    Battery powered chainsaw?

58v mate, 3.6v times 16 cells 57.6v, some 40v tools are just 36v measured a different way like fresh off the charger vs under load.

    Battery powered chainsaw?

A bit late to the party, I've just bought my second battery saw, first was an 18v 10" brushless ryobi with 9ah battery that I was pleasantly surprised by, lent it to my buddies wife and she wouldn't give it back. So I've just replaced it with a 58v 16" with 4ah battery, I think it's comparable...

    Low cc working saw

I just got a ryobi battery saw think it'll be a toy and I'll just use it to snip the odd thing when I can't be bothered getting a real saw out. Man am I impressed with it, turns out it is a real saw! Not ideal for cutting all day obviously but you'd be surprised how far you'll go on a battery.

    What's you favorite "Beater Saw"???Pics?

Thanks for the tip, alway run oregon or carlton full comp, shindaiwa is my "good" saw for when I need to have nice reliable saw, that usually runs a 36" for big cuts and pulls it surprisingly well, anything else I usually throw a beater at it and thrash it.

Swapped a new 011 throttle cable for 009 in unknown but tidy looking condition, litte tlc and it runs like a dream, and was given a 268 SE also unknown condition and missing the pull start assembly, feels to have ok compression and a new and incorrectly fitted ignition, if it runs mint I'll buy...

Danarm, what is it and is it a crime to junk it?

I was just given this little saw and I can't seem to work out what model it is, or if it's worth leaving in the shed, if it's worth valuable for anything then I'd like someone to make use of it, seems to have good compression.

I have 2 of those too that I beat the hell out of trying to kill them so I can tell the wife I need more saws, damn things won't die.

    Best two saw combo

if I only take 2 saws, I'll also take 2-3 spare bars and chans, I've had to take the saw off a stuck bar and cut it out before, rookie I know.
